Firs Industry Change Request
Firs Industry is a wonderful project but one problem (in my opinion) is
Primary Industries Such as Iron Ore Accepts goods produced by manufacturing units,
In this case, a person can create a transport chain, in which goods are rolled between industries, without reaching the cities, which I think is a little boring
For example, Iron ore Mine-> Steel Mill->Engenering Supplies->Iron Ore Mine again
Thanx

Good day building rails
Re: Firs Industry Change Request
Why is "not building that chain" not an option for you?
Re: Firs Industry Change Request
Indeed, you can build such a chain, but you can just as well just not do that. That is the freedom FIRS intends to provide. If you cannot live with that we feel sorry for you but eventually the FIRS developers decide what the set will be like.
Bear in mind that industries will not accept an infinite supply of *-supplies. Although other cargos will not be capped, these three most likely will be.
Also bear in mind that FIRS is not anywhere near completion. We just started development and you're already suggesting changes to something we even aren't sure of how it will end up in the final set.
Lastly bear in mind that FIRS has it's own topic (actually two) and we happily accept such comments/requests/ideas in the release topic. But thanks anyways

Re: Firs Industry Change Request
While some engineering supplies are needed in the mine, goods are also and much more needed in a town, but one has the ability to choose where to transport them, call it freedom of choice.

NewGRF: Oil Wells in Temperate terrain now can Increase production, Better vehicle names, Use-able default aircraft, Oil Rig for Snowland and Desert, Speed for Suspension bridges.
Patches (OpenTTD): Improved smooth_economy [in trunk], More (diesel) smoke [in trunk], Realistic_acceleration finetune.
Keep 'em rollin'!

Re: Firs Industry Change Request
Maybe goods give a higher profit than engineering supplies, but engineering supplies boost the production of the mine resulting in more goods in the long run. Who knows?
