SCROLL DOWN FOR THE 1975 FIXED VERSION

Yes! With the brilliant landscape provided by Vidar, I produced a lovely map of South Wales and north Somerset for you to enjoy... basically the entire area around the mouth of the Severn and the Bristol Channel.

I'm also working on a 1980 version, which will feature all the major motorways and roads, as well as as accurate a reproduction of Cardiff as I can manage with the editor.

ADDONS REQUIRED: None! If you want to use any, go into the editor and enable what you like, I did this to ensure everyone can use this straight away without those stupid red error messages. I'd naturally recommend stuff like the Wiima bus, Pikka's Mk2s and locos, the 90mph carriages, and many other things.

Let me know what you think!

If anyone has any places on the map they're greivously offended that I missed out, let me know and I'll add them to the 1980 map. If a few areas seem a bit bare it's beause there genuinely aren't many towns in that area... that huge green patch on the southern side, for example, is Exmoor. I'm really missing TTD's signpost function right now, as there are heaps of spots I want to label - real life building spots for bridges, tunnels and airports, among them.

The 1975 edition of the map is done! It features a completely revised and accurate Cardiff area, the First Severn Bridge (the second wasn't built until 1996) and complete motorways and other major roads throughout the region... virtually all the towns are connected to the road network. Whether your vehicles will actually find their way is another thing...

The large grey area in Cardiff I've set aside for you to build Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street. If you notice other grey markings (there are several large 'H' shapes) these are the sites of the major airports in the area (and the old Cardiff airfield, just for fun)

NO ADDONS ARE REQUIRED, still. Although, as before, I highly recommend the Mk2s, Class 42, Wiima Bus, and any other UK-related stuff you can lay your hands on!

Sightseeing in Cardiff! Look for: Cardiff Castle, the Brains Brewer, the BT Building, the oil refinery, Gabalfa Interchange, Coryton, Cathays Park, Landmark Place, Newport Road, Heath Hospital, Cardiff Bay, Adventurer's Quay, Windsor Quay, Prospect Place, Castle Coch, Butetown Tunnel, Cardiff Gate, and lots of other fun little details I tucked in.

Does some1 has a download of this train:
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... hlight=lms

Because the download seems to be offline but you need this train for this map! (Pcar3LMS)

s***! Sorry about that guys, I made a second version to send to my dad with the addons enabled, and I forgot to untick a few... those are the LMS and standard express carriages. They're unticked now.

However, you *will* need this one addon:

The class 42. For some stupid reason it's showing twice in my list of addons, and I can only untick it once. Sorry!

Let me know if you still have problems with this version.

Hi guys, I've fixed this once and for all by uncovering my problem (I had both Pikka's and a modded extended reliability 42 in my objdata) so here is the final version, NO ADDONS ARE NEEDED.

Have fun.

Thanks! I know the area quite well (I live there) so it was fun building all the places I know. The most annoying bit had to be building the motorways... they take FOREVER.

Still don't work completely, I had a Bus heading from Port Talbot to Bridgewater (next big one East) end up in Cardiff.

So done some U-Turns in the middle.

Incredibly easy to make money.

Are you saying the bus had problems on the big dual carriageway between Port Talbot and Bridgend?

Hmmm. My PC's hard drive has just developed enormous bad sectors, so I doubt I'll be able to fix it any time soon. I did check all the roads to make sure the arrows were pointing in the right direction... unfortunately, the way the game handles normal roads crossing over one-way roads is a bit hit and miss, sometimes the arrow which allows a vehicle to turn and drive down the normal road isn't there and so it will just go past :x

I swear, this game is so buggy and unfinished it sickens me sometimes.

Try using waypoints? If not, then Locomotion is being idiotic as metalangel said.
