If you use nighly its the same like alpha.
if you use stable ist the same stable in 2 versions.

Patchman, isn't time for 2.1 beta phase after doing busstops and fixig locogui?
And it is possible to come away from the CTRL-Way and adding additional buttons instead (or a keyboard shortcut?) like in OTTD?
I like the Ctrl solution very much. Got very used to it by now.
Something crossed my mind recently about how to enhance the Ctrl-stuff, but I can't remember now

I posted a problem with a45 hotfix, and AFAIK nobody noticed it. Here's the link:

Well, I've put it in my to-do but haven't yet had time to look into it, so I haven't replied for lack of further information.

Here are two more bugs that I haven't seen noted.

1. MB's signal towers, when used on maglev, don't have the maglev tracks, they have normal tracks. I don't know how he drew them, maybe this is caused by how he split them up.

2. At PBS signals, trains do NOT wait the signal-wait time set in the Patch. They give up and try to turn around much too quickly, making it more likely they'll get trapped and stop. They don't seem to have this problem at non-PBS signals.

I would like to point out that there is a serious bug in the Alpha 46 patch regarding the newspapers in TTDX. Link to the thread

Since the problem is problematic, I recomend that everyone should turn their newspapers from "full" to "summary" untill a future fix comes along :(. There is no problems in the pop-ups however :).

alpha 46 ... 2 BUGS found:

- Mek locomotiongui acts strange when I do select Primary Industrial Stations (text at the top drop down list is empty) and much more when selecing SilverLine Stations (none text in drop down lists and some strange colors appears), attaching grf of silverline stations

- bad graphic patch/bad graphic file? When I am using my old CFG (I added there one missing switch from a46) everything works fine, but when I remove (rename) my cfg to use default Patch one, when I start the game error appears: DBSetXL invalid sprite #9 code 14/2 (got latest DBSetXL) ... attaching my cfg (the default one you do not need  )

sorry no time to test it more now

The not displaying of text is caused by the text containing colour tags, wich apparently cause my code to calculate the width of the text to fail. But the strange colours i can't yet explain :)

tags for colored titles :o ... and those colors are quiet amazing :P

Can you post a crash log please, and if possible a savegame just before this happens, together with your ttdpatch.cfg? That'll make fixing the bug much easier.

TTDPatch now supports the Windows-style language definition like
LANG=1031 too
Exactly what does this mean? Where do I have to define that LANG and where do I get a list of languages and their ID numbers?

(this time I did make a search in forums, site and wiki and found nothing)

There's a MS KB article on the language IDs somewhere, and the Borland C++ Resource Editor help file (if you happen to have BCC++ 4.x) has a list too. Basically, Windows often creates this LANG variable by default and TTDPatch, before now, spat errors out as it didn't understand it.

It's an environment variable, if that wasn't clear from what Owen wrote. But if you want to set it yourself, it's better to do "SET LANG=spanish" or "SET LANG=es", because that way at least you know exactly what you're setting it to...

Erm, there is no crash log. And this happens to all games, not just my savedgame. The latest crash log I have were dated back in febuary, no new crash logs have been created.

Then, since others don't appear to have this problem, it's got to be some unusual combination of settings in your CFG file (or possibly GRFs.)

I hoped over into the chat and explained my problem. Patchman was there and told me to remove the ttdpttxt.dat file. Since then, its been working fine. I have a funny feeling that that file may be the culprit.

You can't post PCX files, you have to convert them to PNG.

Since I installed the latest patch I have been getting the follow error. It was working fine before I installed alpha 46.

TTDLOADW.OVL has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

In that case, the patch should make a crash log. Please post the resulting crash*.txt file here.
