Well the reason why I wrote the Country name in the excel spreadsheet is because we might get enough cars to make more GRFs.

We can devide the cargo carriages in regions like:

1. Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg
2. Germany, Austria, Switserland
3. Great-Brittain, Ireland

or maybe bigger regions like:

1. Western-Europe
2. Eastern-Europe

But we still don't have enough countries.

So request your cargo carriages from all over Europe

It's not necessary that all info in the excel sheet comes in the final GRF.



I've updated the XLS, is it good if I post it at the first post? Then every updated version will be posted there?




Besides that: There are lots of sets under development. Maybe it's an idea to release something as soon as we have something from the European Cargo Set. This could mean that we already start coding some cargo carriages. What do you think about this?

Regional sets:
Yes, but first we (all set developers from at least all european sets) should make rules which IDs will be used. Example:
IDs 00h - 80h: some engines of your country - in a "base" set.
IDs 80h - ... : additional special purpose engines/carriages of your country/region - in a cargo set or passenger set.

Then you could combine:
NS engines + west european cargo cars and international used freight engines like SBB Re-4/4 460
DB engines + german passenger cars and some additional passenger engines/EMUs/DMUs
PKP engines + east european cargo cars
...

But then everything has to match.

No. For the most sets more IDs for engines are needed, than TTD originally has. And don't tell me, you're planning to use only as few IDs as TTD has used for cargo wagons Because you don't know how IDs work: it's mostly the order of vehicles in the buy list. It should be engines, passenger wagons, cargo wagons.

Could you do some research about IDs, which IDs we could use. Because as you said, I know nothing about IDs

Ok, I'll have a go with the Wascosa tankers.

With the final grf, there should be a way to pass arguments to it depending on which liveries you want, i.e. which country set your working with.

I think see ment that if we only have east european cargo cars and west european cargo cars that the east european cargo cars would fit the best for central europe.

me = from Hungary and I totally agree!
I hate it when people call Hungary Eastern Europe

Some people from eastern europe or further away think that the Netherlands and Belgium is the same coutry. I don't care. I don't know all far away countries either. I really don't see the problem.

What's so bad about eastern Europe? My mother is from Poland, I love the east And if you look on a map, CZ begins "as east as" PL. I didn't know that you are thinking in this way, and don't wanted to make you angry (CSD changed to PKP)
BTW, PL was a long time German, like your country, and then russian, like your country, and is not eastern Europe?
