First and foremost .... from the readme file
Clip-----
Legal stuff: All of the files (except the logo) are provided in the public domain. Spindle, fold, bend, and mutilate as you desire, and then call it your own!!! Logo is copyright to me--Dave Dandy--as freeware. So use your own logo, or none if you wish, and model on!!!

Heads up--I will be releasing the variants included here and some others in the near future as individual locos to minize poly count. I learned a lot from this exercise, but I think I'll stick with specific variant models. I'll be using my own fictious railroad company--"Sundown Railroad Co". I want this logo to represent models I develop, so I'm releasing it only for use on models I upload. Please respect this right. Everything else is free and clear. Merely change the logo to what you want and publish to your heart's content. Variants of the logo are authorized.

Dave Dandy ---- End clip,,,

The following loco Work In Progress has some various parts from the GP9 kits. The are NOT .s shapes rather parts files for TSM I believe by his readme file I can use the parts which are are only the bogie frames

Here from the new upstart Chicago Locomotive Works (fictional name) is the frame assembly for futuristic CLW-AP0001 Mullti-Fuel All Purpose,

Engine hood basic design is placed on frame assembly.... all parts that were added were self designed from paper drawings of my own. Well be working on cab compartment and bells and whistles.

Just showing parts before put together(which they are) The off frame parts are freehand (yeah I know my ability sucks). Don't bash it unless you can do better and PLEASE bash me in PM NOT publically if you can,

Sorry actory on strike!!!! Production has stopped.... Only one completed loco and that's mine!! Probably would met standards of quality after I get it painted. Was a fun 24 hr project to build and show.

I think the future trains should be more streamlined you know? like P42's or P59's?

GE is going to be the king in the future in the USA i bet. especially since EMD was sold in 2005.

Factory on strike... Union wants some respect. They want public to throw fresh fruit and vegetables.

And yes Plasticman I agree they should be more streamlined... Have 3 different ones in works... the models I was working on were just for fun and to show a few things off. I was brainstorming while doing that loco just having difficulty with aerodymanic type rendering... seem to be off just enough to miss the marks by a few inches in plans and end up looking bad.

This is what I had done on aerodynamic body. My skills in that area are really lacking.... Have project saved but not sure where to go

I used to have a copy of TSM I wish I could find My CD. I would make somthing just for a joke.

TS Modeller is not friendly with "latheing" or smoothing corners. There's a trick to it but dang if I can figure it out.
This is what the exploded (puzzle version) looks like assembled but not totally complete.

Handrails seem to make for sketchy lines in lomo so probably won't both for lomo version but will finish and add to my MSTS

I have the CD but alas if I had to install it to my desktop (wife would kill me) I think I'd have to send for a replacement so many scratches step-children used it as a coaster.

Once installed no need for CD.... Could use a CD cleaner if you know of a good one

you should make that in amtrak paint, that would look cool

Whoa! a mag lev! it floats!

Posted: 28 May 2007 00:19
by legs4poets
only floats because too much voltage  I scrapped it anyway body was not aerodynamic enough. Painting it was impossible too many surfaces and looked like a rolling mirror in lomo after 4 hrs of painting

I'll do this one in amtrak... I just need to find a pic of something close for the paint scheme. I try and use the logo but will give it the basic colorings. I might even another scheme or 2. Doesn't have too many surfaces so should be easy enough.

I tried to redesign the one you liked but to get the basic shape makes lots of painting problems.
