im desperate - ive installed ecs and the industries are all there but i cant refit any trains to the cargos with dbsetxl it wont work and with the original stuff neither. please someone post a working order of grf files in TOTAL (all grfs you use in your game not only the ecs order). i might also suggest that you guys build everything in 1 or 2 grfs so it gets less of a luck game when loading TT ;)

edit: i just loaded another game with different config and now i get all the original trains and stuff but the wagons are not refittable at all, but i can refit the subway train to every cargo in the game. do i need an extra wagon grf?

You need LV4. AFAIK, only this set supports ECS cargos for now.

wow thank you for the quick reply there :).
nevertheless i have LV4 installed and is it normal that i only can build trucks for now to transport my cargo?

For now, yes. There is still no train set supporting ECS AFAIK. DB SetXL will be, and Serbian rail set is in plan too. (Of course, you can transport all "Original" TTD cargos with trains.)

ok thank you i was getting slightly annoyed because i didnt get to transport stuff with train :). i will just have to wait for the updates.

The UKRS and NARS can also transport new cargos (have I said that in this thread yet?).

<nitpick>
DBXL can also transport new cargoes, namely fish, food and beer. However, ATM there are still no train sets with a full ECS implementation - neither DBXL nor UKRS or NARS.

I think I should post it here since it's an ECS bug more or less.

I think I found what's causing the AI problems.

It's the ECS (Extended cargo schema v1 alpha 1).

When I remove these:
newgrf/ECSTownw.grf
newgrf/ECSAgriw.grf
newgrf/ECSBasicw.grf
newgrf/ECSChemw.grf
newgrf/ECSConstw.grf
newgrf/ECSMachw.grf
newgrf/ECSWoodw.grf
The AIs buy new vehicles, be it airplane, train or rvs, but with ECS on, the AIs do not buy any vehicles.

Additionally, the AIs become really intelligent. I mean by that is, they build really good (with the setting of AI Intelligence set to High) vs with the ECS on, the AIs build as if the AI Intelligence is set to Low.


Now that's sad :p TTD won't be the same without ECS on :(
