So far, i think that if we just have the rails, or the gravle missing, it might, just might give the effect of abandoned sidings, or old ones to go with some stations for looks
Heres what i came up with.
I could match the other Basic platforms we have. What do you think?
Abandoned sidings still have the gravel. And also, look in the default station class with the pgs-bare.grf activated. I've already added that. Aswell, Michael has it in his station set aswell (Void).
Infact, it was seeing that in MB' station set readme that nudged me to make it for mine. I had the idea for a while, never got around to making it till then.
Aswell, with the buffers, I dont really see the point, I personally havent seen a single set of buffers on any railway down here. The train drivers are smart enough not to drive all the way off the track

.
Eyecandy for sure, but if you want some, draw some to go on a bare track and Ill add them to the pgs-bare.grf

They may have gravle, but most sidings if left for about a year, grass jst grows through the gravle and makes it look like its not even there! That was the idea, whether it works is a different matter!

Say, Aegir, can you give me some advice on what to do to the tracking table, to update it? And you promised some better listings for the public website.

Hmm, not much, since the layout has been changing a bit, but what is definate is that each class represents a, hmm, type of station, freight, suburban etc. Each class is then made up of the basic platforms, and then accessories that match that platform type etc...
Sofar its just Suburban (Cornelius and Arte Pro's sprites) and Freight (Born acorns), but this will be extended quite a bit as time goes on.
What I can say definatly, is that Jezulkims yellow stations (With the chicken wire shelters) will be added, most definatly. And also I will get somthing done with Singaporekid/Purno's dutch stations.
Same deal with them, they will be in their own classes.

Well, I'd like to update both the tracking table and the public website when we have some definitive info. Oh, and the Readme too.

and the harbor?

the harbour rocks. It could be built buildonslopes when a station is next to the sea.

what harbour are you talking about?
MB's?

No, the one I did. You can see it
here in the developement section.
Actually, Michael Blunck's one inspired me a lot. After completing the puzzle in his web page, I decided to begin making a harbor with a lot of industrial zones and crates.

YES! And I have to get around to coding that aswell. Im planning another freight class, Born Acorns switchyards, and your harbor sprites will slot in there quite nicely.
But I want to polish off some more general passenger stations first. After I get pre3/4 out with Corny's new suburban sprites, Ill then work on Jez's chicken wire station, and then have another look at Kid/Purno's dutch stations. I may do them in the reverse order and do Cornelius' new sprites for pre4, who knows.
For now I'm just waiting for an opening of free time (School

).

Watch where you put those :roll:s, for your information they are *not* in the latest PGS release due to clipping errors that require sprite alterations.
They'll probably also be crammed somwhere into the additional freight class.

So I wasn't wrong in that case. Ok, good to know.
Means I will keep using my older files until the next version comes out.

Never hurts to give a nudge. I'd really like to be able to update the website.
