Nice to have a new version.
You only forgot to mention the new possibility to "unshare" orders by ctrl-clicking the reset button.
Also the new spriteorder doesn't seem to do Oskars bridge a lot of good, as you can see in the screenshot below.

patchman mentioned that he made some improvements with displaying but I think something went wrong
anyway ... I found that disasters switch is not expanded (like miscmod) in latest ttdpatch.cfg (yes I did create new file)

Well if you prefer the old sprite sorter, you can put
in your ttdpatch.cfg

I don't prefer the old sort order, I prefer the new one.
Just wanted to let you know of these small glitches, that's all.

Thanks for the new version patchman.
A LOT of old clipping errors are gone now.
also seems to be a lot more town control, (looked through the new .cfg)
Will test more after my homework.

Sprite sorting problems can arrise because TTD bridges and higherbridges are cheating a bit the old sorter so all looks right, it seems now it makes more bad than good...

by Patchman
Can you give more details? How do they cheat?

If I remember correctly the 3D Bounding boxes aren't right, I am 100% sure that the bounding boxes for pylons with higherbridges aren't right. (without they are ground objects)
I will look on it, you can ask me on irc when I have time about details...

In other news, alpha 39 will feature wagon speed limits. GRF Authors note: Just set prop. 09 of the wagons as appropriate.
Weeee...

(I didn't think they'd be much fun until I played Locomotion and it convinced me...)
The default limits are currently unlimited passengers and mail, moderate speed for most cargo, slightly lower speed for livestock/fruit, slightly higher speed for goods and valuables.
The default speed limit depends on the introduction date to have some kind of speed progression even if the .grf doesn't include it yet.

I suppose it'll be displayed in the build window somewhere?
And also, does this mean you fixed the problem which causes locos to be working at full power when they're in a speed zone, trying impossibly to strain against the speed limit, and thus making themselves more likely to break down? Because otherwise, coal trains are going to by dying all over the map.

by Patchman
Yes, it will be.
No, I haven't changed that because that's not how it happened. When speed-limited, trains are no more likely to break down than traveling at full (or any other) speed. That only happens when waiting at a signal... which I haven't fixed.

this is a good news...
BTW, krtaylor your confusing it with speed limit on the bridge. wagon's speed limit must be the same thing as when you attach an aid engine with a tighter speed limit.

Oh hello, hovering teacup. I hope you'll post in the Japan thread again also, it's been moving forward.

I haven't had a chance to test this more thoughrily, but when I was playing a DB Set game, I remembered to disable some of the stations I wasn't going to use (the American ones IIRC). After turning them off on the graphics GUI menu, and the going to the drop down menu, TT crashed.
I'll see if I can re-produce this later tonight...

Please do, and send a crash log.

by Raichase
Well, the good news is that I *can't* reproduce it, there must have been a factor involved that I can't reproduce...
I am pretty sure this is the crash-log from the first time it happened, if that helps at all.
I may have been using the alpha 38 BEFORE you issued the sudden update that fixed some other problems

Yes, that crashlog is from the original a38 which did have this crashing problem. Well let me know if it happens again
[edit] While I'm at it, here's a screenshot of the new refitting menu of alpha 39, which shows all sub-types of a certain cargo at once. In the actual game, you might have, for example "Goods (Sheet Metal)", "Goods (Cars)", "Goods (Petroleum)" etc.
This is a way of adding new, "fake" cargo types. They're fake because goods are still goods, and you can still use the car transporter to pick up the goods from a lumber mill, but at least you'll know what you're
supposed to be transporting with them.
