AARGH!!!! I was sure I checked all of that code before committing it. It appears that, instead, I checked the writer twice, and the reader not at all.
Turns out I swapped \7c and \7C too. In any case, this is now fixed, and new binaries will be up just as soon as I can finish putting the releases together.

I have to check it. Hope it'll be checked during this day.

I suppose it'd code right in 0.9.10, isn't it? Also will try in afternoon.
Thanx all for speedy feedback!

I finally installed system on my new computer, so I am now able to test errors.
GRF Codec is working OK now.
Base sprites anre OK too, I tested in any loading queue. Probably it was error in my system.

Sorry for inconvenience.

New Hotfix: 28.08.2006.
- Added maximum speeds for freight wagons. Now every wagon (except cabooses) has maximum speed. Please, comment if some corrections are needed.
- Added liveries changing from 2000 for Traktion-Union loco, "Sinobus" DMU and "Beovoz" EMU (coded by Death).
Enjoy!
P.S. I must note: this set was downloaded more than 1000 times.

Hi.
I'm having trouble with the latest hotfix - maybe related to problems above?
I get an error message for the serb grf at the starting screen, an error message for the serb grf in the new graphics menu, and the menu lists two entries for basegraphics grf even though I have only listed it once in my newgrf.cfg.
Is there something wrong with my settings?

I haven't forgot to reply, I simply can't solve that. I had simillar problem before I reinstalled system, but it's too radical method. Now I have no problem. Have you downloaded latest version of base graphics? And have you had problems with previous hotfixes? This hotfix is only for livery changing, it's not new changing in global variables.

I've recently reinstalled everything myself ... but I'll check if there's a newer basegraphics grf. I can still use an earlier hotfix version of the set, so it's not a huge problem, but I was looking forward to the speed-limited wagons and new graphics on the late electrics.

Which Patch version you use? I use 2.5.8 and have no problems.

I use 2.5b8 too. Unfortunately, I tried going back to an earlier SerbSet hotfix and got the same errors (which never used to happen), so it looks like I'll have to reinstall again. Ah well.
EDIT/UPDATE:
OK, I've tried reinstalling 2.5b8 from scratch, updating my Patch basegraphics grf (it was out of date), and attempted using various older versions of the SerbSetw grfs (including that experimental grf you sent me for testing out the updated MUs, Wile) and in every case the results remain a "wrong grf version" error for the SerbSet and the Patch basegraphics grf appearing twice in the in-game new graphics menu.

I have exactly the same problem as HaroldV - however, if I remove the basegraphics from the top of the newgrf file I only get one copy of the basegraphics in the list... But still when I create a new game the graphics are disabled. The funny thing is that the second file still "loads" - I can see the items from it in the buy list, but I don't have the courage to buy! (OK, not true, I just haven't tried yet.)
Edit: I can buy items from the second set, and they work... They just do what the pumpkin coach did and revert to "whatever" they were before the Serbian set affected them (based on ID, I presume - funny watching a cola tanker that looks like a coal truck with 0hp try and pull a train with a max speed of 120mph - mish mash of mush, basically) if you try to change any of the newgrf settings.
More edit: Using 2.5b8, 2.6n1014 and n1022

Uh... it's out of my ability to solve this problem. I hope some of better coders will solve that. Meanwhile, all I could do is to try to cut suspitious Action D from GRFs. I'll try to do that ASAP.
Other thing: I haven't tried set with nighties. But with Patch 2.5.8 everything is good to me.

OK, here is temporary sollution.
Firs try to download
this base GRF. It works good for me.
If there is no change, here is alternate set. You should have no problems, but you'll have no 32 pixels length inside depot.
Meanwhile, please check this leading code (for both sets code is simillar):

OK, have tried a few combinations:
b8, specified base: Still SerbSet gives same wrong version error.
b8, *no* base: TTDP gives error saying it can't find base graphics, but SerbSet loads fine. I was encouraged to try without the base graphics because I started n1022 first and it didn't like that version of the base graphics, but loaded the SerbSet just fine.
Between these two, it implies to me that there is a conflict between the base and the "latest hotfix" version (not counting the alternate version). Not being a GRF coder, I can't add anything to that, I'm afraid.
n1022, new SerbSet: Works nicely, but I can't see any difference?
What does the 32/28px thing do, exactly? I'm probably not seeing anything because I have no idea what it does - or it only affects later (longer?) rolling stock.

You just have with official Hotfix better look in depot or trains list. By default it's 29 pixels, and Hotfix adjusts it to 32. It's not visible with small wagons, but with big wagons, you have glitches with wagons. It's only difference between official Hotfix and alternate version. I just added in sprite 27 as first byte 0C (to make it ignored).

The alernative base grf still gave the same errors, but the alternative Serb Set works perfectly (see what you mean about spacing in the depot window, but that's a small price to pay).
Thanks very much for doing this, Wile. I've missed my regular SerbSet fix.

You're allways welcome.
Glad I helped, but question still stays: I did obviously something wrong, but I don't know what.

New Hotfix: 02.10.2006.
- Added popular names for some locomotives.
If official Hotfix fails to load, here is alternate version.
Enjoy!

New Hotfix: 05.11.2006.
- Added popular names for some locomotives.
- Some technical data are more accurate now.
- Set is now fully ECS and UKRSI compatible (including
graphics for all new cargos!!!) with big help of DaleStan and PikkaBird in AI picker coding and Patchman's work on implementing var. 40 in Patch

. Pikka, welcome to team!

We have one more great contributor!
Enjoy!

And wait for appropriate scenarios.
Note: Don't expect too much miracles of AI, they use to behave more strange than usual.

ECS is somehow buggy (which I described
here, but probably there are more bugs), and some cargos are sometimes untransportable by AI, and they sometimes build dummy routes connecting industries which have no production connection (AI behaviour works allmost perfect with higher priority of standard gauge set and activated UKRSI, and bad with higher priority of narrow gauge set and activated ECS. Other GRF combinations are somewhere between.).

Using the Serbian set and UKRSI, I don't get wagons to transport plastic or lumber - I do however get wagons that can transport fuel oil, gravel, and clay. If this an oversight, or am I doing something wrong? I've resorted to using LV4 trucks to carry the uncarryables, but that's not exactly desirable.

Thanx for bug report!
Indeed, there are no wagons for lumber and plastic. Label for lumber is WDPR and for plastics PLST if I'm right. They are working with ECS (tankers transport plastic and flatbeds and gondolas wooden products) but here is really problem. Hope somebody could help to solve this bug (in first place Pikka).
