allright, i think i'll just cancel this thing. this is what it's become. anyone wanna yell "nooo" in slowmotion and save it? no? that's what i thought already.

I think it shows promise, actually. I'd say you need a cast-iron-girder glass roof, and some cast-iron-work on the sides, and it would become a Victorian GWR station. I like your brickwork.

i'll consider that. maybe i've got to sleep on it.

nooo ... just work on it in slow motion ... a little bit at a time, no pressure. Remember ... good food can be fast but great food takes time, and when we ask "Is it done yet?" severe flaming is permissable.

Heh? Oh, I've been working all week, havent had any time to code. But guess what? Your country stations are next up for coding. You reckon you could draw me an overpass to go with them? And maybe some other little accessories, a crane for the freight side would be nice too.

oof, i think i'll manage that yes. i can't give you an estimated finishing time though. it'll be whenever i have some spare time.

Thats alright, Im not sure that I'll be getting much coding done anyway, Im kinda tired after working my first 38 hour week... In a construction site running Cat6 cables  . Good pay though.

well, that's most important indeed.

but now that i'm thinking, maybe i should just re-draw the country freight station in total. that way i'll be able to fix up the old one and make sure the new graphics blend in.

Yes, the most important thing is to make sure the graphics blend in, hell, you can change the base platform. but make sure they are the same dimensions and atleast sit nicely against the old ones.

At the moment we have:

Bare platforms (No grass hedges)
Platforms (Grass hedges)
Lopsided clock building (Currently passengers)
Old 'Grey Station' (Currently Country Freight)

I'd ideally like to have the passenger and freight buildings fixed up (Like you said you would do anyway), and then have some shelters drawn, an overpass, and last, if time permits, a complete shelter type building that goes over the tracks themselves.

Also, Im considering taking the current freight class and extending it into two. Ill use some of those freight sprites you drew, and make some freight objects for people to use. I'll also rework Jezulkim's goods sheds so that they use Born Acorn's freight platform sprites. Im thinking of just removing the platforms from the walls altogether, because due to new advancements with GRFMaker, Im not restricted as much with how many sprites I can use per tile, thus, no need for the wall and platform to be merged.

Heh, dont worry though, Ill make it rock ;).

allright, i'll start right away, i'm having some good ideas. maybe i'll leave most of the hedges off for the country freight, but make it look at country-ish at the same time.

Sounds promising! Ill postpone pre3 until there is some progress, I'll play around with some other concepts I have though.

allright, i've started by doing the basic platforms, next i'll draw the new freight building, which will consist of 2 "sprites". and then the various other things, over/underpass, crane and whatever crosses my path.

allright, first progress report. give me your complaints and feedback, please.

edit: on the image below.

are the platforms going to match some of the other platforms we have? like the other industrial ones?

i'm not sure. we'll have to see once they're coded, but i doubt it.

Looking good astath! But as a whole, I think it needs more shading and texture.

I like where you are going with them though.

update: slight shading here and there and new silos. i didn't like the old ones.

edit: also added a new pair of underpasses, which d'you think is the least worst one?

edit edit: deleted the other underpasses, which sucked. added some shading and minor "filth", it looks a bit more used now. what to place where the first underpasses were? dilemma, eh.

edit edit edit: another update, did a basic platform with nothing but hedges and lights.

edit edit edit edit: last for tonight (1:21 here, work tomorrow! car exam in 3 days!), added some odd drive-on platform which hasn't even heard about being insinuated on getting anywhere near finished. slight updates on the underpasses.

image on next page.
