Is the TTRS compatible with FIRS? I tried FIRS v0.5.5 and TTRS r23, but to no avail.

Works for me. Did you by chance have active any other industry newgrfs (Arctic climate, Lumber Mill, manual industries, PBI, ECS ...)? Or the "old" TTRS 3.02a?
If not please provide the savegame.

Nope only FIRS as industry newgrf.

Right. Sorry to say, but you configured things in the wrong order and you were shown a big red warning box which reads "You're about to make changes to a running game. This can crash OpenTTD. Are you absolutely sure about this?". Well, OpenTTD didn't crash. But it still doesn't do what you want ;-) Besides both NewGRFs, FIRS and TTRS are active and working "just fine". But because of the wrong order and changing newgrfs on a running game, the existing default industries, generated by the map generation dialogue, won't (and can't) be removed by the game; you could forcefully delte them by the magic bulldozer and hope the game will build sufficiently many new industries.

Generally: you must configure NewGRFs _before_ you create a game from the main menu. Adding them to a game _after_ you pressed "generate" won't help you in the vast majority of the cases, most of all in the case of industry newgrfs a later change won't have the desired effects as they are thos newgrfs which are interwoven with the map as closely as no other newgrf type.

So I suggest: load the game, save the newgrf list as a preset. Exit the game and from the main menu configure the newgrfs, loading your preset. Then generate a new map.

The red warning box didnt said what u mentioned in the bolded text, it stated "A fatal NewGRF error has occurred: E04: Incompatible version: TTRS must be version release 3.02b/ nightly r18 or higher to work with FIRS. OTTD 1.10 or higher required. Consult FIRS readme (insert links)" I am using the latest OTTD version... i tried your method but it didn't help. The map also didn't show any FIRS industries...

Which one of the at least three different interpretations of "latest OpenTTD version"?

Right, I see that now. As 1.0.5 cannot read NewGRF version numbers, FIRS is not compatible with any version of TTRS if you use 1.0.x version of OpenTTD. You need to play a nightly version of OpenTTD in order to combine both NewGRFs as only those enable FIRS to properly distinguish the different TTRS versions.

EDIT: I went back to FIRS code and... actually the error message tells also: OpenTTD 1.1.0 or nightly r20625 is required. I made it a bit clearer now that both conditions must be met. OpenTTD 1.0.5 is simply too old to support FIRS' features to work jointly with TTRS as FIRS has with OpenTTD 1.0.x no means to find out which version of TTRS is running.

There is "stable" (currently 1.0.5), there is "nightly" (currently r21369; the daily snapshot of "svn HEAD"), there is "svn HEAD" (currently r21381), and there is even occasionally "testing" (last 1.0.5-RC2).

Update (13:03 UTC): "svn HEAD" is currently r21382.

Hi,
i played on a online server with the firs set and there is a litte problem with some of the secondary industry i think

they close with the "supply problems message" but they are delivered with many goods

this happened with Steel Mil, Lumber Yard, Oil Refinery, Machine Shop many time (other industry i dont delivered in that game)

i add a screenshot and a savegame

just the question is that a bug or a feature ? =)

If the industry wasn't supplied, then it's a feature :)

There is a parameter for allowing secondary closure. It's turned on in the save game you posted.

If the industries were supplied regularly, it's a bug.

Here's what the parameter settings look like (only available in recent versions of OTTD)

as you can see in the screenshot, the factory is supplied with goods

the same is with the other industry, i had to rebuild them many times

to close an industry that produced more than 1k tons of cargo per month and has transportation rates around 70%+ for the output is not very logic

oh and btw its a very cool industry set

In that case you may have a cookie for finding a bug :)

Now I have to figure out how to fix it :(
