1.2.0-beta is before the 1.2.0 release (beta means test-release).

If you continue like this, you may want to make a project at the devzone (http://dev.openttdcoop.org/) which can store versions of the source code (graphics + nml) for you, and build releases of your newgrf.

Test! Coding by Alberth :D

The spacing between each is 3 pxls in _ view, it will have to be fixed by adding articulated looking thingies to the wagons and engine, and tail wagon of the Berlin U-Bahn HK-Type

I'm not great with drawing trains, but here are a couple of things I have to add:

As I mentioned earlier, maybe try adding another pixel to the roof to make it 'overhang' the carriage more:

Secondly, maybe trying just using a few more from the grey range in order to simulate a curved roof:

at least it can help you simulate a curved roof if you aren't too fussed at drawing one.

F92 is finished :D

with Berlin done Im gonna take a lil rest before painting zome Nürnberg trains 8)

it is not articulated, so I don't need seperate sprites from tail/end wagon and normal wagon...they can be both! The _ view is 32px long so that solves problems with spacing and the roof is bigger, in _ and | views

You edited them? I like it :D thanks, I'm going to add shadows to them like that and fix up the overhang ....I currently had only put in lighter shading for shadows

Shaded better and edited as you liked.

Looks better! yayaya

I am going to post information for the (any) coder soon, I have edited this particualr set of trains and wagons long enough, time to move on to the F92 and Nürnurg's U-Bahn trains
The articulation is extended so it equals 32 px, the engine and tail are slightly longer it is 30 px... when attatched to a coach it should work perfectly fine. But I am just saying this, it has yet to be coded LOL

finished off the Berlin U-Bahn F92 with more shadows and curves etc. and roof fixed. the roof of a F92 is more flat than that of a HK-type.

So I used this opportunity to try draw something. I attempted to draw the HHA DT5 from the Hamburg U-bahn. This is my second ever train I drew (the first one being following Purno's passenger coach tutorial), so there are probably lots of mistakes in the drawing, so please fix them.

Yay more painters :D I say we add both of ours. The one I made was to reach fictional speeds of 115 km/h I remember. The real allowed speed limit on U-Bahn lines is 80 kmh xD

overall I think your sprites are better than mine here
but then again my trains show the articulated parts >:D

so I guess we'd have 2 HKs, since I beleive their were 2 kinds of the H-class, one in 1995 and the one in 2000..and both were strikingly similar, so thats an excuse to include both H-types xD

hehe you used Purno's fail pallete like me

Yes I'll try maybe edit the doors and windows, and also the fact that the front of the DT5 is a littlesloped, I never made a train with slope front yet so I will edit yours :D

Hamburg HBahn or U-Bahn DT5 train.
edited :D added different lights and shaded the wagons themselves, the roofs were well done already I also slightly darkened the windows, made the doors in /\ views thinner, and _ view windows bigger, and a curve for the engine and end tail
row
1. front engine sprites
2. passengier wagon sprites
3. end wagon sprites

Great, thanks! I might try drawing another train.

You could look up some tutorial to draw a (quite) correct size for (O)TTD(P). For actual vehicle height, length, and width, you could look up at their respective official site (ie. Toyota, Honda etc).

You know that the vehicles I meant is these vehicles that somebody posted a while ago.

Suggestion: please make the trainset available in all climates, so to not restrict players from using it in their favourite setting. Or make such setting into a parameter. Cheers, this is looking nice!

OTTOMH, the Hamburg U-Bahn is powered by third rail.
