You've been saying you're getting 2 of every post....then why are we getting
two of your posts?
two of your posts?
The place to talk about Transport Tycoon

Ok...Sorry dad! B-)Never heard of PC-DOS?
Stop being difficult!
Thanks God!!OK, so there are alternatives to MS DOS,
I thought somebody else created DOS and MS altered it?but they all look and feel pretty much like the MS original.
And it was MS who first came out with DOS, so it's all their fault! <g

Erm...I've used one. Never oned one...But they are VERY powerful (Better
than PC's for certain things)
But they are visually kack......And the OS is an ar*e
That's more or less how I heard things were meant to be.
I think so, but thats a personal thing. I know others that HATE the entireWhat did you think of the user interface? In terms of the user interface

Definitely an age thing! Twinges after a couple of hours?
Treat yourself to a new monitor for Christmas! Or, failing
that, remember to blink more often!![]()
Why not? I found them to be better if you have programs that run usingAs for the DOS interface, I guess I don't really like the
idea of command-line interfaces from a user-friendliness

I'm not what the diffeerence is....Never uses a Linux box.Fortunately, I know most DOS commands pretty well, but if I was confronted
by a Linux

I think I would prefer it.....At least with GUI's, you're not completely on your own. Just imagine
playing games such
as Transport Tycoon without a GUI...
You, me and everyone that went on to Win 3.1I prefer Windows because overall it's a more pleasant computing
experience!
And there is the lazyness aspect!
Who are you calling lazy?!?! <g
The legend is that when IBM were bringing out the IBM Personal Computer,I thought somebody else created DOS and MS altered it?

There is also the fact that PC Win uses a lot of system resources to run

Not me. I *can* stand Microsoft's products. In fact, I quiteI can't stand Microsoft's useless products. Only problem is everybody
else
likes them and keeps making games for them.
Well, you might be in luck if Linux keeps on gaining in the
popularity stakes... And there's always Macs.
Useless products? Implying that DOS, Windows, Office, and the entire range
don't have a use? I think not.
I've used it very briefly once or twice. I'm no expert so II have never seen, used, and even heard of Linux till recently. What is it?
That's the funniest thing I've heard all day!Windows? Crash?! Surely not!!!

I agree with that, provided that access to the raw, base OS is stillAnd in the same time that DOS was being replaced by Windows,
it could be argued that computers were transformed from
