Thanks raichase, but you may have noticed that i have drawn the loco's in 24-bit for Copying purposes, i wanted people to get a taste of the set without being able to use them  , i think it was a good idea, i have the real 256 ver. on file for the final version... and i am happy to say that Owen has provided us with a site, and krtaylor has given permission to use the same type of page as in his Japanese Environment Set page, so as soon as it is ready i will be posting it up on all the popular forums... for all of you who haven't downloaded the list, please do so now, because this is a BIG list!... we will need all the support we can get... and a big cry out for coders, I don't expect anything to be ready for coding until the site is ready, but your help will be very much appreiciated when we are ready...and this might be a bit left feild, but what the hey...WOOOHOOO GO THE JAPSET!....looking good ppl!

If you have a well-thought-out plan and all the trains neatly selected, researched, and posted, I would expect that as soon as the Japan set is finished, some of its artists will come over and give you a hand here. There has been a desire for an Aussie set for a long long time, but never people who knew enough about it before.

This i have noticed, I had been visiting the forums for a while before joining to see some new stuff, but as it never happened I thought becuase I am posibly more "inside" to the ausset than Sanchimaru is to the japset I could help it along, i have a hugh list of sites in my favourites list etc. on aus trains, so it's just a matter of sorting out the crap from the good stuff. And it would be great to get some decent drawers working on this set, and coders... if we could get Szappy when the japset is done that'll be great. I tried to get Purno to help us (seeing as he can't draw freight cars) on passenger cars, but he's "too busy" these day's talking to his boyfriends on MSN, so we could do with all the help we can get. But until then I will be spending A LOT of time on the Japset to get it finished. Also for all the aussies out there... I have just drawn up the new FQ-Class and tried it in TTD with a string of MGFH Hoppers (see page 2 of forum) and it looks awesome!!! I will post it soon for you all to try out!

Not looking too bad, but some of the locos seem a bit too 2D. The hoppers look sweet though, and A LOT of the locos look alright. I especially like the World Class Alco/Goodwins

Thanks, the flat 2D looking locos are the ones done in True Colour believe it or not, i did it so people that scab sprites before they're released would have a lot of trouble testing them, thats also the reason for not doing other views. ......... here's a VR X-Class Series 1 & 2.

Well, you'll have to do all the views eventually, and in their correct color scheme so they can be coded. In previous projects, scabbing hasn't been a real problem because we can easily tell when someone does it, and if they don't credit you they get spat on by everybody.

I think Szappy would code your set for you, he's testing an automatic coding tool. He won't start until you're well along of course. I'm not sure what he's up to just now, I believe he is finishing up the Dutch set, then doing the Japanese set. Perhaps you can reserve the next slot, if you show good progress and organization.

sorry, i have done the other views, i just haven't posted them here yet, i want to release them as a seperate set for each state first, then bring out the full australian version... it'll give people a taste of things to come. so when i have a complete states set done, probly vic or nsw first, i'll get someone to code it and them we'll release it. i think because there is so mant great australian trains it would be hard to fit them all in the on set without the sprite total being over 13000

an automatic coding program? Now that has to be good. I look forward to seeing the end product of it.

Suddenly we have an Australian Set started, wow. 8)
Well done ttdx_artist.
Actually i look forward to each time i load up the Forums to see what you have done.

Really easily the most enteresting loco for me is the Beyer Garrett, and the most different. They did service hauling heavy freight, our answer to the Challenger and Big Boys. :)

beyer garratt

the beyer garratt AD60+ is a real winner, i will be drawing up W44 contentrate train in the next coming days, it was +1000t, 17 vehicles total (so it fits in well with most ttd players) and was hauled by two AD60 Dual Cab Garratt's thru the blue mountains, from Broken Hill to Cockel Creek (Newcastle) to be precise, should make for a very interesting look!

i am currently using the beyer garratt from the tropic set in my ttd, and it is awesome on the w44 train , i can't wait til ts project really gets running!!! it'll be great to see the stuff coming in from other people.

and this pic has nothing to do with an ausset, but it is worth a look....

Qantas and Air New Zealand have merged!!!

i am absolutly hopeless with steam loco's, but i gave the ad60 garratt a go.... heres my first attempt, i need to know what you all think before i continue doing other angles...

Got to get hold of a Beyer Garrett pic, and post a reply for you. These locomotives were in NSW and Queensland, although i forget where they used them in Qld.

Really hope ChrisCF sees your kanga/sheep pic, he will love it.

Funniest thing I have seen on this forum for a while. To bad really only Australians and New Zealanders would understand it.

Looks Victorian or South Australian, but it doesn't look very NSWish. :)). Otherwise, I'm lost.
