o dear.
Got a problem.
Iv'e got the latest patch, and 3 different pigs/pgs but heres the problem...
if i get rid off one, it stops 'some' of the errors, but also some of the stations, disapear.
How do you think this can be solved?
and Also the 'Generic stations' tab, seems to make the game cut out when i select it.
Is there a wahy to keep all the stations without lossing everything, or will additional information be required?
krtaylor, i got some pictures, but there in PCX form at the moment, as i am having trouble with the converstion programme on this Computer. i have put them in the converted PNG incase its just the viewing programme here. so there are 6PNG and 6PCX.
But, as some people might be offended about me using, or not using there sets, im just using the original trains, 2 from the DB set, and the new goods wagons by MB. Tell me what you think. there only a draft so far, along side the errors above, so do tell me what you like/dislike about them. Some are rather simple though.
Remember, there only drafts

hence why there rather... Flat!

Geo.C: Try reading all those comments I made before about only loading ONE PGS .GRF AT ONCE

!
Now, another huge arse catastrophy, I have lost all my working files to pre2 and the in-progress pre3. That means ladies and gentlemen that I have to re-code everything from pre2 onwards.
>.<
Hell, my working files I have left I think even pre-date pre1.

Why the <<censored>> don't you back things up? You could even just post them to the forum, where they'd be if you needed them.
Let this be a lesson to you...

Naturally I don't have working files but I do have several of the latest PGS grf's if you need them. Just post here or PM me.

HEY! Dont give ME the attitude here, as a matter if fact I DID back them up, but the backup was LOST due to a hardware fault.
Its not your damn problem, I have to work my arse off to fix it, not you.
And a sidenote, I still have my original sprite-sheets and all the rels, I also still have the .grf to imitate and the coding will only take maybe a day or two to get back to where I was up to.
Oh and Wallyweb, Thanks for the offer, but I have older working files, and the compiled ,grf's laying around. Sure its a huge catastrophy, but not huge enough to stall the project for any longer than a day

.

Yeah, I just don't like to see your valuable time wasted, or anyone else's for that matter. I've had enough computer problems myself, that backing-up is just something that everybody has to do. It's not just busted hard drives, it's all that spyware, adware, viruses, and other garbage that can destroy your hard work at any time.

Progress, Well, today I spent mostly setting my desktop up with Linux, VMWare, and ATI drivers. That was one hell of a fudge considering the kernel dependencie hell the later two put you through. Im going to most likely run TTD through Wine and GRFMaker in a WinXP virtual machine, Or both in Virtual Machine once I talk to Patchman about the VMWare issue.
But, I havent made any actual progress on rebuilding the good half of PGS code that I lost. Ahhwell. s*** happens.

krtaylor, here's the grf you wanted of the Silverline stations.

Oh, that flat-tinted-glass station was included in the Silverline? I didn't realize that.

Well, I got back on the coding horse after falling off last time (Resulting in losing a tonne of work), the result, I have completly re-assembled the first batch of stations, and I even re-worked a few of the sprites for the seccond batch (Light post placement on the loading ditches).
Having an entire Virtual Machine dedicated to *just* TTD and .grf coding is marvelous.
So anyway, things are progressing onwards again.

When you've got those, can you add the non-freight stations for the Silverline set? Then we can retire that one, and have everything nice and orderly.

We'll be expecting great coding work from a great coder

Hmm, I dont particularly want to code anything that has already been coded, but, how about, if you can chase down Arte Pro, or another artist, to draw an Overpass (Or underpass), some basic no-walled platforms, and some benches. Then Ill code them.
Since it already has some suburban shelters, and a large city type station, we just need the accessories, then it can have its own categorie.
