I have a problem for fish transportation, I have no suitable boat.
Should I add some GRF,thanks.

For example, MBs ships with ECS adaptermfans wrote:I have a problem for fish transportation, I have no suitable boat.

Dear George:
Thanks, I down load the GRF, but I find in my 0.7.0 RC2 doesn't work.
Does the patch only work in TTD, not works in OpenTTD?
Please answer, thanks.

AFAIK it works in 0.7.0RC2. "Doesn't work" is pretty useless though. Be more specific or you will only get useless answers.
Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
I mean when I add this GRF, the light in GRF list is red. so the GRF does work, I will try again for AFRIK.

usually it means OTTD 0.6 or some incompatible GRF loadedmfans wrote:I mean when I add this GRF, the light in GRF list is red. so the GRF does work, I will try again for AFRIK.

I have this strange problem.. in the last nightly (15954) the stats window of any industry doesn`t show details like Level, Cargo Left etc.. but the message like "New resources found.." is still appearing
In the stable version (0.7.0) this problem doesn`t exist.

I think there is none of shipset's in bananas which support ESC vectors (fish etc.).
It would be nice to get one of them to bananas :9.

For that, you need to talk to the authors of the ship GRFs.
Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Somehow I found this problem in nightly r 16184.
Look at the furniture factory on the bottom right side of the town. What's that information icon doing there? Is it a bug? I checked other furniture factories on the map and they had the same problem

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Hi, I am new to the openttd and the ESC vectors. I have 2 questions. I downloaded and successfully uploaded and activated all ESC vectors in a game which I played for a week now. I would like to build a power plant and I always get different error messages. Now I did everything possible and the last error message says that I cannot build power plant when similar industry is nearby. I don't know how far is nearby? It is also weird that on the overview map some industries which were in the game before I mounted the ESC vectors are categorized different as they appear, e.g. a wood is said to be a fishing area. I find this very weird. Are there any solutions or settings for these.

Changing NewGRFs mid-game is not supported. It's what that red box was trying to tell you.
Create your own NewGRF? Check out this tutorial!

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Two major confusions i have about the ecs wiki page.
Firstly, i do not understand the whole line production method employed by industries such as the tinning factory and so on. What exactly is a line? Are you trying to say what ratios of products are produced in respect to incoming cargos and if so how does this relate to these "lines" whatever they may be. Do they refer to "production lines"? "lines of code"? "lines of track in a station"? what? perhaps a less techncal description and say something like...the tinning factory requires a shipment of steel in order to produce tin cans. These are then filled with either incoming foodstuff supply relating to whatever is available to produce a product that is in demand? if thats even what happens. A clearer description (for those out of the loop) would be appreciated.
Secondly, on the large flow diagram what do you mean by a "soft and rule" i.e. labelled in pink. How does it differ from a regular "and" clause.
I sort of understand the other colours (unless the following is wrong) e.g.
Construction industry:
In order to begin emptying the stockpile industry needs a supply of any of the following
1.) Just Wood Products
OR (mathamatical "OR" ?? (i.e. AND/OR??))
2.) BOTH Cement and Bricks
Brewery:
1.) Requires Glass to produce bottles
AND
2.) Cereals AND/OR Fruit
Large Construction industry:
Do not understand how to work out requirements - soft AND is confusing
e.t.c.
Help or wiki entries on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks
P.S. Also it states in the chemical vector 2 wiki that the potash is "planned". does that mean it has been removed from the game until it is to be integrated? if so does the glassworks/chemical plant not accept it?

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
I'm aware of two sorts of ORs. Binary and logical. I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "mathematical" OR.paulicus25 wrote:OR (mathamatical "OR" ?? (i.e. AND/OR??))
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Re: Do you have problems with ECS vectors? Look here!
Given the explanation I think he means the logical OR. The other "OR but not AND" is usually known as XOR, while the logical OR implies "OR or AND". I would've thought that you could figure that out yourself...

First of all I would like to thank for attention to ECS wiki.paulicus25 wrote:Two major confusions i have about the ecs wiki page.
Next I would like to remind that every user can improve any wiki page.
What is "so on"? Provide a list, please.paulicus25 wrote:Firstly, i do not understand the whole line production method employed by industries such as the tinning factory and so on.
It is a production line. The line cane switched on (produce cargo) and off (no production). In some cases (Brewery, Tinning factory) it can be 1-st or 2-nd cargo processor (process fish or livestock, cereals or fruit)paulicus25 wrote:What exactly is a line?
Yes, but if you'll provide steel and no fish / livestock, it will not produce empty canspaulicus25 wrote:perhaps a less techncal description and say something like...the tinning factory requires a shipment of steel in order to produce tin cans.

Let me suggest you to ask short questions that I can answer in a short form. After that you'll a better descriptionpaulicus25 wrote:These are then filled with either incoming foodstuff supply relating to whatever is available to produce a product that is in demand? if thats even what happens. If production level is low, only one cargo is a must. But if the production level is high, you need both. So, you need BOTH the cargoes (AND), but in some cases the rule is ignoredpaulicus25 wrote:Secondly, on the large flow diagram what do you mean by a "soft and rule" i.e. labelled in pink. Some sort of. In general - yes.paulicus25 wrote:P.S. Also it states in the chemical vector 2 wiki that the potash is "planned". does that mean it has been removed from the game until it is to be integrated?
No. If some other GRF would provide the cargo, industry would use it.paulicus25 wrote:if so does the glassworks/chemical plant not accept it?
