I still would like to see that old shaded-glass station roof that was originally released as an EXE.

It was coded ages ago, but not very well. If I do code it, it will go under the default class, probably the same for any other of the .exe graphics.

For now, just be patient, Im really trying to make a quality .grf now, my last few test ones, and the last release, had a tad too many issues for my liking.

Thanks for the comments, I made a new version. It's now player colour.

Still looks like chicken-wire :P. Good progress though.

Anyways, I present to you all PGS v1.2pre1*!

*It is a preview, 98% bug free as far as I know, probably dont try and load it alongside the other PGS. Also only contains Arte-Pro 34/Cornelius' city/suburban stations.

If you're taking a quick break from coding now, can you post me the data for the Readme tables?

Oh arent for release  , and Im not done with them yet, I still have benches (Screenie below), an underpass (My next project) and then I want to coerce an artist into drawing a large roofed version.

Now, for the screenie of the benches:

Nice - But don't forget, in stations where there are those walls at the back edge of the patform, you have to have gaps in them every so often so you can get from one side of the platform to the other. Lots of the stations have that problem.

Ahh, but thats what those bare platforms I made are for ;) . How about a version of the walled platform with an opening/gate in it? Or should I just stick to the bare platforms? I personally think that the station builder should place the bare platforms in every now and again to let the passengers through, and also adding another set of tiles increases the total stations by another three, and with limits on the size of drop-boxes (Which effectivly serves as the max amount of stations per-class), that leaves less room for other accessories.

Edit: Fourteen of the Sixteen-Twenty stations per class are used currently. I dont think I will make a gate version at all, there is still atleast two more types of station I want to add to this class. I might talk to Patchman about the limit again.

Yes.

That would be perfect too. There's no need for it to be listed separately - just have them automatically provided at reasonable intervals.

Problem with that is that a varient of that wall would have to be made for several different platform types (Normal, benches, and also the large roofed version if it gets made), plus, with the new style of building (Build-over), automaticly adding gaps would be relativly useless as the tile built over does not affect any tiles near it. I say build the no-walled versions by-hand, later on we can add the auto-gap if required.

Oh, and Mek has informed me on IRC that the max amount of entries for drop-down boxes is exactly 19. But he also thinks it would be relativly easy to fix for station types, so, meh, we're safe for now ;).

I just drew some walkover based on the ones used at a station nearby IRL.

I hope you can use them...

Very nice! And that style is used in other countries as well.

They look nice, Ill feed them to Singapore Kid and get him to prep them for coding, stick them onto platforms etc...

Thanks!

I'm not sure, the "glass buildings" I have on the 2 other stations are underpasses already, a suburban or city station with those kinds of roofs and a overpass looks strange
So what about a dutch country station, with the overpass? :))
Also, my name doesn't have a space in it

Dutch country station? Sounds good, go for it ;).

The city stations already have footbridges. That brick, glassed-in style is common in the south east of England. Purno's bridges are still good though.

I don't think there should be walls in the middle of island platforms at all - they'd just get in the way. I guess we still need walled sprites for edge platforms though.

In colder climes they're often there as windbreaks.
