Oh it's the Total Town Replacement Set! But man the thread title is confusing. What's up with the author of the thread then?

What is up is that this topic started as the title indicates: discussion of Zimmlock's graphics creation and development. Eventually TTRS became the dominating topic. Zimmlock has been "retired" from development for a few years now. Nobody has bothered to split the TTRS-related posts off into their own topic.

Yea I just found it weird he didn't even bother to change a few lines of the OP when he is still active on the forums.
Oh well...

Bit of a weird one but is there a way to have the modern TTRS roads (they start post 1970 I think) alongside one of the old building sets (eg 1920 to 1950).

Yes, you can set a parameter (in the newgrf options window) to only use the old buildings.

I am aware of this, but the roads are from the time period you set it to use.
