Does noob-ness also allow for or relates to missing the link to the readme a few postings above?

Now (finally) a updated version of this great NewGRF is released: Total Town Replacement Set 3.10

So, what's new? Not much, mostly it's a convenience update:
* Feature: Check for the availability of a suitable cargo for banks and convert them to normal houses, if none is found (this is needed for FIRS compatibility)
* Feature: Support for the parameter GUI (OpenTTD only)
* Fix: White pixels in some graphics
* Fix: Some spelling mistakes in building names
* Add: Dutch, German, Polish, Spanish and Swedish translations

You find it on the DevZone and on BaNaNaS as well - thanks go to Rubidium for making it possible to update that existing entry. Find the readme here

"Keep original houses: off" still doesn't work in artic or tropical. [OTTD r22052]

Any special reason why this goes to the FIRS readme?

Now fixed as well. Added with Spanish and Norwegian translations found on Bananananas as version 3.11 or on the DevZone.

Enjoy :-)

Nice work :)

Did someone mention something about a TTRS v4 being worked on by Zimmlock (and others)? Or am i just making that up?
Actually, what's Zimmlock's 'status' in the OTTD world? i know he's a bit active in the Locomotion section, but is there any chance he could return to OTTD?

Zimmlock has stopped TTD development. I planned to do TTRS4, but the thing I currently did is ECS houses. I planned to Fill ECS houses with TTRS houses and make it TTRS4

Thanks for the report and helpful explanation, PaulC and wallyweb. Likely I missed the fact that long year introduction dates are not supported. Could you please check whether the attached version fixes the issue?

Sweet. Thank you for testing. And thanks to Yexo for the one random but correct guess what I did wrong ;-)

EDIT: TTRS v3.12 is available from the DevZone.
Changes in v3.12 wrote: - Fix: TTDP does not know long year introduction date for houses
As this fix does not affect OpenTTD and both versions behave the same, this version won't be available from bananas.

Sorry for the major bump.

I've just run into a limitation of TTRS. Namely that the road graphics change is tied to the house era settings. I really-really like the early houses of the set but dislike the skyscraper-fest of the late eras. But when I set the parameters to use only the 20s-50s era houses I never get the newer road type which makes me a sad panda. :) If I opt for the 50s-80s era then on the other hand I always get the newer road type no matter how early I start though normally road graphics would change in 1970, inside this era.

Would it be possible to introduce a separate parameter for the road graphic change? Like 'Change road graphics at 1970' / 'Use old roads throughout' / 'Use new roads throughout' similarly to what NA Roads has?
