Which version of the US Set have you got, DaaNtje?
I haven't got the problem in my dev version, or so I think

When will the next release be. I really want it to get the new METRA engines and Chessie System engines.

I'm pretty sure 0.82.5 (look around the middle of this thread for a post by me) fixes that bug because I changed the Amtrak E8 graphics in that one.
And the next version will be out when it's done.

Oracle, 0.82 isn't the most current version? It's the most current version I have, and also what's noted in your sig. If there's a more recent version, please post it here so I can update the main distribution site.

Don't bother. v0.83 should be out soon (a few days).

OK, version 0.83 is now released. I hope I've got all the bugs out, but please report them in the normal way (in this thread) if you find any.
You will need this release for Alpha 35. (There is an invalid sprite in 0.82, fixed here, which a35 will pick up.)
We also have the first release of the new stations (v0.83 for consistency). This is just a taster but I'm sure you'll find use for them

. You can download them in my next post.
Changes in version 0.83:
- Set now requires Alpha 32 or higher in all cases.
- Corrected sprite and positioning error on steel coil car.
- Removed steel coil car from Arctic climate and corrected graphics bug with that car.
- Added new E8 Amtrak sprites.
- Changed refit costs to be more affordable.
- Berkshire stats improved.
- Completely reworked running costs using uzurpator's new table.
- Fixed weight and TE for articulated engines.
- Fixed woodchip gondola horizontal positioning error.
- Added Action 4s for all wagons to correct some anomalies.
- Replaced C424 and C636 with RSD15 in Tropic.
- Fixed bug with incorrect error messages being shown for some graphics sets. (I hope)
- Added new SD40-2 liveries.
- Added new Metra bi-level cars.
- Added Metra versions of F59PHI and F40PH2 but not used in tropic.
- Removed Amtrak California F59PHI from arctic and temperate - Metra only now used there.
- Updated K4 Pacific sprites.
- Rearranged NFO file to be slightly more readable.
- Added new copper ore cars.
- Fixed some engines appearing the wrong length when original DB Set "overwritten" by US Set graphics.
- Added new stainless passenger/mail cars.
- Added E8 in Metra livery (3/8 chance; not in tropics; appears 1972).
- Removed tender from purchase list because no longer needed with articulated vehicles.
- Fixed incorrect Action 4 (picked up by alpha 35).

Hi,
First things first. I love the new release with the new liveries of some engines. And the new stations are just fantastic. Keep the good work up.
Especially i love the PA in D&RG Livery. That really looks sharp. However, there might be a problem with exactly that engine. It seams that it is slightly missplaced in the / and \ direction. It seams to be 1 pixel too high.
see the two examples below.

Well, that's actually NYNH&H livery, not D&RGW. And I don't see what the alignment problem is really.

What is NYNH&H???
But anyways, the PA seems to be one pixel too high. when it is in the horizontal stage, the roofs of the coaches are alligned with the PA but in the other directions, it seams somewhat different, doesn't look right to me.
I will try to get a better screenshot where it is better viewable.

NYNH&H = New York, New Haven & Hartford
On another note, I'm running A34 and have the new stuff in the trainset no prob, but when I DL the Windows GRF for the stations (As I'm running the Windows version), it doesn't show up in either my config or the GUI in the game. I know there's likely a simple explaination for this.
Any help would be appreciated.

It has to be listed in your newgrfw.cfg file.

The configurator should pick it up... oh well, looks like I'll do it manually...lol

The configurator doesn't usually do that for me either. Sometimes, but unpredictably.

I have just checked and I don't think that there is a problem with the PA in the way that you have described, although the positioning could be better. I think the stainless cars might be slightly misaligned themselves, actually, which would explain that "problem". But I'm pretty sure that the PA is how it should be. (I have a guide to align them with.)

I'll double post on purpose to let everyone know that there is another minor release available.
There was a stupid bug in version 0.83 (which I saw but forgot to correct) with the final car of the older bi-level style. It was a fairly major glitch (you'd know if you saw it) so I've made version 0.83.1 to fix just that bug. I've also updated the readme so that should properly credit everyone now (the main exclusion was Thrakki - sorry for that).
Changes in version 0.83.1:
- Corrected graphical bug with taillight bi-level car (early style).
I am also going to edit the stations post to update them but just with a new readme (there were some silly mistakes in the old one).

For those of you who would like to learn NFO coding (or, more to the point, for those of you who are halfway there), I've attached partially-commented NFO files for both the trains and the stations (as text files). The trains file is a bit of a mess with commented-out sections that could do with deleting and the stations file might be a bit unreadable because a lot of it was removed for the first release but you should get some idea.
You will not be able to encode from these files because my encoding uses lots of different files and so sprite locations will be completely wrong. (I haven't decoded the set for months because I would lose all my comments.)
(Owen, are you going to add NFO as an allowed extension

)
This should make some people happy and might help some of the NFO coders (hopefully

).
