An Australian term for an anorak about a subject, usually applied specifically to trainspotters.

Its only Raichase that's got me into it really :P

Here in North America we call 'em Cloverleafs, but this is I believe what you're talking about.

and here in germany we call them the same - cloverleaf / Kleeblatt :-)
but IRL the turnings are single lane (may be there are rare exceptions).

How about some expansion stations for the set? A bus terminal (Would be a train station base, as we can't have expandible RV stations) would be a nice addition.

Dan,

Well done :). Perhaps a few more add-ons like that will help coerce the powers that be to provide additional action support for road depots, etc. :)

Great work!

Thanks :D This was just a quick mock-up ;) Wonder what'd happen if I actually took time with it :P

There seems to be little love from the devs for playing around with the RV station code, vis-à-vis larger stations.
Dan, your building is effectively eye candy in the way it is used in conjunction with a bus stop.
Sounds like a perfect candidate for eis_os' newobjects which already has a slot in the button menu in the game.

I'd say keep them as a station tile, it increases the catchement area of the bus station. Whether they'll be "non-drive-through" road tiles like the station buildings and such,. that remains to be seen.

Heh ... I'm already pushing the limits of eis_os' greatly expanded stations limit.

Thanks for the comments; yes you are right. I should have done it as in the screenie below, but the single roads are bi-directional and allow you to get from one compass direction to all the others including 'U-turns'.

Initially I had one-way arrows on those; i.e. until I realised you cannot get to some of the other dorections, unless I double them up.

Of course, if we had diagonal roads (I've seen them floating around in the OTTD world) or having 8 directions like rail tracks, we could do much neater road layouts. Also having real single lane one way roads would be a bonus.

@DanMack : those one-way arrows are a sort of 'Do-Not-Enter' signs and are really only needed to direct the flow of traffic and help the path finder. You don't need them all the way along a one-way road.

Multi-tile bus-terminals would be great. Unfortunately, we only have 4 1x1 bus-stations. But we could have 'eye-candy' terminal buildings as part of a stations set.

What does your newgrf.cfg look like ? May be 1024 lines, with the USRoads Set stuck high above other road or traffic sets. Move it down to or near the bottom, it may work wonders.

Great piece of art, Dan. It'd be great to have a series of these drawn that could be "attached" to the actual terminals, so as the terminal would look like an extension of this building.
