I have to ask why the coaches don't appear until 1930. I start playing in 1921 most of the time, and I prefer to do so.

You're right, I forgot about that. I used TTD Alter for coaches, but it could be done more ellegant via GRF.

Little proposition: to add parameter for vehicles names (TTO or TTD style)?

by Jezulkim
Yeah, that'd be good. But I already have one parameter on the grf and I don't know how to add another.

Same way you added the first one. A space, followed by another number.

I've finished a test version of the TTD to TTO names grf. I'd like you to see if it has any bugs or wrong names, I couldn't find any but maybe you can

. After I'm sure it's ready, it'll be added to the main grf.
Credits:
- Johnny B Goode, for digging this thread up and giving me an idea for this update.
- Mr. Owen Rudge, for his TT website where I grabbed the names.

I found few bugs on the names grf, they're now fixed and added to the main grf (fttoc.grf). Also, the first post will be updated in few seconds. Enjoy your new TTO set version!

As there's problems when updating the first post, I'll put the new version on this post. If you downloaded the set from the first post.. please download again.

That's great to hear

Will you change the GUI, too? Or it is too much hard-coded into TTD?

We dont know if we can...we can maybe change some buttons but most of the Gui is hardcoded

As far as I know you can only change the GUI icons, but not the borders around them. Well, you could make a bigger icon that covers the borders.. but you'd lose the "push in" effect.

Aha, thanks.
I remember I was shocked by ugliness of TTD GUI when I saw it the first time, but now I like its simplicity.
Now I think that TT GUI looks like... GUI of an old game ... But it recalls sweet times of my childhood.

I think you should change the icons... it would make it looks sorta better

but whats to change, the icons are identical, from what I can remember about my tto game this morning.
i think you can change a gui, it does it in ttdpbase.grf/gui.grf

Actually, there are differences on the icons. I've added a comparison picture.
