While I would be tempted to go with it just on Michael's word (legendary word counts double ), I've obviously gotta wait for other objections/agreements... ?

Someone needs to make a go of this, and I am aware of your willingness to do it Mr. Worley and you have my support, however we should keep in mind that this is someone else's thread and if WhiteHand has chosen to step away from the forums for a bit, then rather than pole the community, perhaps orudge would be the appropriate decision maker.

Owen, my vote is for DaveWorley in WhiteHand's absence.

If this is allowed I think a new thread shall be in order anyway. We need not be reminded of the spat every month.

Davey is the man for the job. Young, sexy, and intelligent; he'll add a certain flaire that was lacking before. In otherwords, whitehand was Chirac, Davey is our Sarkozy.

I notice that the person running it was WhiteHand (well, he has the first post at least). Someone may want to get in touch with him to figure something out. If not, then we'll have to think of something else. Just please, don't let this turn into another fight.

WhiteHand is gone and when I sent him a PM, he did NOT give me a permission to run award instead of him.
I think it would not be fair to allow him to kill awards with his gone. So I suggest to grand the running of awards to someone else.

I will thus use this post to ask - would people like me to take control of the TTD Artist competition?

You´d have my vote.

This is fine, I vote for Dave too.

If we'd decide to continue awards without Whitehand, I'd like to ask to finish may award.

I suggest the following order of things:
1) We start a pool, should award exist or not. In case of "yes" they should belong to the forum, not to the user. Or we can decide it without a poll.
2) We finish may 2007 award.
3) At the same time we crate a topic for discussing rules. If we finish them up to 1st june - the june award goes with these new rules (in case if not, the july award would go with new rules)

I have set up a sticky here for people to discuss the rules and the other factors involved.

I personally would prefer a clean start, so we can bury the uglyness, with a new thread.

I encourage everyone to discuss this somewhere where everyone has access to it (ie, I'm interested in people who don't normally browse the graphics forum, as well as getting the input from OTTD players also).
