Nice tunnels. My car is warming up in the garage waiting for the release.
By the way, nice touch showing the rest of the world that the USRoad set will support driving on the left side of the road as well as the world standard of driving on the right.

Those white lines belong to the T-junctions, but may be they could be made a touch darker.

Nice work with the tunnels.
Finished the sprites for the one way roads arrows.

I agree with Athanasios on these points although the contrast reasoning differs slightly. I think that the lighter tunnels are a bit too clean/smooth - at least in the temperate climate. They don't look so bad in the snow because the white elsewhere brings out the small texturing you have. In temperate, its hard to see and they still look a little bit smooth.

That's because all of the best countries in the road drive on the left!! Well, England and Japan anyway

And apparently its safer due to a human tendency to move left when under stress.
jasperthecat1 wrote:Oz, Can you please add more US roadset Pictures?
Cant you stop asking people for more pictures? Cant you just play and invent your own interesting screenshots? I mean, do you actually play yourself or just ask for other peoples screenshots?
jasperthecat1 wrote:keep up the good work! awesome
Now, why do I get the feeling this is a copied line and that you may not even know what it means?

I am not familiar with those places. Where are they? They sound a bit like some failed empires that I have heard talked about.

Depends upon the nature of the stress ... some of us move to the right when stressed ... oh wait ... that's politics, not ttdx.
Keep up the good work! Awesome!
I think I'll go hide now ...

The urban sprawl of Pludborough has reached the freeway and the local Gazette reports, that the citizen have rejected overwhelmingly a proposal to change traffic side. They insist on driving on the wrong side.
The upgrade of the southern expressway to freeway standards including a brand new interchange with the western freeway is nearing completion, just a few minor roadworks to be completed.
BTW, as far as arrows/roadworks go, this is not the final implementation; I just put the necessary code in. We will be having road blocks and road works (parameter driven). @Skidd13 : I haven't used your most recent sprites yet; may I ask what are the ones with the arrows pointing in both directions for, or marked OpenTTD.
... road markings too bright ...
Now, that it has been pointed out. I do agree they are in general a touch too bright. They used to be pure white in the old set, now they are just white. For now we'll leave it to lifeblood to darken them a bit.
Ben_K wrote: ... That's because all of the best countries in the [world] drive on the left!! Well, England and Japan anyway ...
Don't forget Australia and New Zealand ... I have learnt to drive on the right, but I do find it much easier to drive on the left. I never ever had any problems with that, so it must be natural ...

Sounds like Australia when they made the switch.

Australia and New Zealand? Do they have empires?
All kidding aside, this is coming along quite nicely.

Not a failed empire, just a managed retreat

My fault... Drop the 2way arrows... Use just the roadblock... Today (err yesterday) was not my best day.

The Southern Plodborough Bypass has been completed and is open for business ... and are those residents living close by fuming with rage about the noise; too bad, they knew well in advance before they built and moved in that the transport corridor was going to be built.

Wow, those shots look great, Oz. Just being picky though, the on/off-ramps should technically be one-way, too, surely?
Very nice, though.

One suggestion for junction: bridges instead of tunnels and one-way junction roads, to form classic "butterfly" junction, will be more realistic.

by orudge
Indeed, I just hacked together a "proper" junction - however, it's not particularly neat. I shall maybe try a butterfly junction instead.
