I think if you're going to lecture on spelling and grammar, check your own!
Actually I think DaleStan is giving an example how spell checkers cannot fix everything, i.e. he has written a meta-sentence which is doing exactly the thing he is writing about.
Maybe, maybe not. You're probably right. I'm hoping you're right!!

davidx123, you should start yourself off making sprites. If people see you are making an effort then they will be more inclined to code the set for you.
Good luck!

I'm ashamed that my first association with Middle East was exactly what You said in your first post....but on second thought :

Middle East has a various architecture from classical buildings to modern skyscrapers. Look at this, for example... :
If I found some more time I will read some topics about drawing and maybe try something. Don't promise anything....

hi every body!sorry for not answering,my computer has been broken ,and i left WITH!!!!! no computer.
the middle east set will hand over these states:
Israel,Egypt,Jordan,and Saudi Arabi(and include dubay)
once i realize how to add pictures and images(oh it is the same..)i will add Israels trains pictures, and other states.
can some one plan the 4X7 airport?the airport should be WITH!!!!! 2 run ways and one terminal.
one runway will be for take off,and the other one.well for landing.
between them there is 2x2 terminal,WITH!!!!! 2 loading, unloading platforms, and one helicopter stand.the depot will be on edge of the air port.
i will try to draw the depot, and the terminal as soon as possible, cause i wanna original airport.

1) No custom airports support. Yet. Hopefully.
2) Adding graphics to the game is not that easy
3) Learn ho to write the word "with" without several exclamation marks.

You will need this branch of OTTD:

I recommend you start with the new trains and new airports graphics, and wait for the new airport layouts because It will be more difficult.

We may be waiting a while for custom airports as richk67 has a life

He was saying in another thread that with work and moving etc, he hasn't and may not for a while have time to work on NewGRF airports

I know, but never say never. I would give him three moths or so and then start signing petition for him to finish NewGRF Ports

LOL! Three moths... as opposed to two butterflies I suppose
NewGRF_ports faces one large roadblock (code unification), and then lots of the Airports parts can be finished (animation, and newgrf variable access, etc). That would complete Phase I (Airports).
Phase II (Seaports) could then begin, where ships would be controlled in their docking in the same way as airports; ie. multiple docks in one station, riding at anchor (equiv of stack), replaceable/customisable graphics. So there could be an industrial dockyard set, where the oil tankers go to the oil jetty, and the container ship goes to the container unloading area. Hovercraft would be "land-aware", and would be able to come up onto a concrete landing platform, etc.
Phase III (Roadports) would be the third (and final) phase. Not really had a great deal of thought about this. Certainly it could create bus-stations, with lots of parallel bays. Some people have pointed out that there would be problems with articulated vehicles. A problem I dont look forward to fixing.
Personally, I want to finish Airports, and also add Seaports, before it goes anywhere near trunk. I dont care too much for the Roadports concept, but I can see some players would want it, and in theory it is all related. But not a personal priority.
As for my time - at the moment its very limited. I could do the odd bit of tinkering on airports, but other than animation and newgrf variable support, the airport side is pretty complete (80%+).

I understood your earlier post as "the project is paused, I can sometimes get back to it". I'd be really glad I was wrong. And I guess I'm not alone.
This could be simple, since ships have no collisions - the ship would look at all the available docking points and got to the first unoccupied/unreserved slot. If there were none, it would wait or aim to some occupied slot

Well, ships are no different to aircraft in that sense, except ships dont have defined movement within the dock. In the new model, docks would be buildable as land & sea combinations, in the same way as seaplane airports. In a sense, I would be creating a seaplane airport for ships.
They would enter the state machine at a particular entry point, and exit at another. While in the state machine, they could do all the things that aircraft can - go to depot, go to loading bay, select loading bay by type, etc.

go to depot
Depos are going to be part of the docks?

I dream of the time when an oil tanker 6 tiles long docks and unloads for months!!!

No, these would be analagous to the hangar on an airport. Normal ship depots could continue to exist, but the functionality would also be available in shipyards.
