What is the second color in the palette? If it's a pink, it's Windows. If it's a dark grey, it's DOS. If it's anything else, or if the first color is not either blue or <strikeout>aqua</strikeout>, it's probably not a TTD palette at all.
EDIT: Upon further investigation, that aqua entry in one of the palettes may actually be a bug.
EDIT2: Is a bug.

Try making both the deck and the hoods one pixel wider. Also, incidentally, the sprite I posted was only 7/8ths long - you'll either have to lengthen it, or shorten all the other views accordingly.
@the diagonal views: I guess that Photshop's perspective feature can come in handy.
I shouldn't imagine so, but if you can use it to produce something that looks good, go for it.

The first color on the 1st line is blue. The 2nd color on the 1st line is black.
@Pikka: Photoshop does no good, I guess I'll have to draw everything...anyway, I'll try to fix the other views.

If you investigate closely, it should be #101010, which is not quite not true black (#000000). That's the DOS palette. The second color on the first line of a Windows palette is a slightly darkened fuschia. (#ee00ee)

Oh yes we do have a big history! One year ago I`ve found something on Internet! I will search these days all the history! Now, If you are from Bucharest try the CFR Museum from North Train Station (Gara de Nord) ! Good look with the graphics and I will try to help you as much as I can!

It's kinda hard making sprites. First I can't get the palette into Photoshop so I can't simply make the spites, detail them then put a sun and the lighting is done. Second, it's very hard for me to detail them since they're very small. Pikka knows how to do it since he's an experienced artist, but these are my first sprites for TTD.
I suck at GFX, I'm mostly good at managing projects and coding, but NFO is simply too weird. I haven't even seen a more complex language than NFO.

Don't be so quick to give up. Your diesel engine was a very strong start, you really understand the proportions/views of TTD, which is more than half the battle. Keep working away, practising and what not, and you'll improve. Even Pikka had to start somewhere, and that he updates his sets shows that he constantly improves too.
As for not being able to load the pallet into paintshop, don't be lazy. I manually select each colour I use, and make use of very few of photoshop's tools and features. I get away using only 'elements'.

Well, there
are hundreds of languages out there very much more esoteric like .nfo:
E.g.:
Code: Select all
,>,>++++++++[<------<------>>-]
<<[>[>+>+<<-]>>[<<+>>-]<<<-]
>>>++++++[<++++++++>-],<.>.
> [...] Photoshop [...]
It´s a weird attitude to try to nail by using a DNC machine tool rather than using a hammer. Get yourself a simple pixel drawing program and use Photoshop for things it has been developed for.

Oh, come on. Surely you could have come up with worse:
Code: Select all
b'BA@?>=<;:987654321r`oo,llH('&%
ed"c~w|{z9'Z%utsrqponmlkjihgfedc
ba`_^]\[ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDC
BA@#>~~;|z8xwvuts10/.nm+*)i'&%fd
"ba`_^]yxwvXWsrqSonmPNjLKJIHGcba
`BA]\[=YXW:8T654321MLKJ,+GFE'CBA
$">~}|{zy7654ts10/o-,+lj(hgfedc!
~}|^]yxwYutsVTpRQPONMihgfHGcbaC_
^]@>Z<;:987SRQP21MLK-IHG*(D&%$#"
!=<;:zy765u321r/.-,+*)iX&%$dS!~}
|{zy\wvutsUDConmlkjihgfedcFa`B1@
/[ZYXWVUTSRQPONM0K-zHGFEDCBA@?>=
<;{j87x543sb0/.-,+*)('&%$#"!b`O{
zyxZIutsrqSBQ@lkjihgIIdcba`B1j
NFO, at least, isn't willfully self-modifying, and never requires loops.

I didn't say I gave up, I said that it isn't so easy for a beginner.
@michael: That doesn't even look like a language...
@DaleStan: That seems to be an encrypted text to me.

This can help you, I think:

LE: on this 2 websites
https://www.railfaneurope.net/pix_frameset.html
https://www.railfaneurope.net/list_frameset.html you have anything you need. From pictures to speed,power etc! Now all you have to do is to draw them! Good luck!
LE:
"I like this idea. If you plan to inculde narrow gauge in the set (which would be nice), feel free to use this Faur L18H if you want. I have created this loco of Romanian origin recently for a Czech narrow gauge set (WIP, mostly eyecandy)."
For this talk with Prebral !

If Purno (who drew pantographs) agrees, you can use Electroputere 461 loco from Serbian set:

Not really. Tests are approaching and I don't have time, but after them I'll continue drawing.

I have got some spare time and I have redrawn the roof of the DMU and made the loco and wagons 1 pixel taller.

Looks pretty fine to me, but shouldn't there be a rubber thingy (whatever it's called) between the coaches so you can walk from one coach to another?
