This is the Windows palette.
Hmm... I've always used the DOS palette, and never had any problems with it, AFAIK.

Well my trains are running in my games cuz I pasted my pics over others and that worked.. but when I create my own .grf it's colors are very weird...

That's because the palette is correct on that picture.
This is how to get a correct palette for your own grfs:
1)Convert your trains to ttd win palette with option "match to nearest colour" (or something like that)
2)Then encode the grf file and you're done

Just decode, paste your sprites over them again, and encode again. That's what did the trick for me.

Hmm.. It worked.. And I followed the wiki grf tuts and created my first .grf file.. I included it, that worked all fine.. But when I create my train it runs WAY from the track and does not connect to others trains and even in depot it doesn't go in the right cube.. Can anyone help??

Try loading your GRF file in TTDPatch and then use the
GRF Author Helper Window.

Did you follow the link?
Did you read the corresponding section of the page I linked to?
Does it not describe what values to use?

What do you mean by graphics positions?
All of the meta-data now looks sane, except for your
compression.
NFORenum should be objecting to that, BTW.

Do you mean the in game sprite positions? Then the
grf author helperis for you.

Nono.. It's something else.. When I start up the game with my .grf included in openttd.cfg, the train drives ON the track.. But he uses the same sprite for every direction :S the / front view, so if the train goes _ it still has the same sprite used (/ front view).. whats the problem about that??

Darkmast49 wrote:... my .grf included in openttd.cfg ...
1) Does it work in TTDPatch? If so, your grf is fine, and Open is broken.
2) What does NFORenum tell you?

by Samwise
1) I don't have the right version of TTDPatch.. When I use my original files of TTDLX and past the TTDPatch over it and run TTConfig/exe, it saids error reading registry.. And I don't have Transport Tycoon Deluxe.exe in my folder of TTDPatch.
2)Where can I find NFORenum? (I know, I'm completely noobish right now

1) You have to have a full TTD install to use TTDPatch.
2) Somewhere down vvvv there.

1) I'm getting further with that.. I only need a right TTDLOADW.OVL now...
2) Thanks
