That should not happen if LV4 is not loaded, and LV4 should report the error and deactivate itself. Do you have the latest LV4?

Nope if tried everything, including disabling my two pop up blockers, it stilldoesnt give me any red popup warnings, nor does it say anything in the GRF status box when i have purposefully loaded them the wrong way.

I assume that LV5 will be a complete overhaul of the long-vehicles patch then, to incorporate the tractor units of the articulated vehicles included? Will there be anything on the tram front?

No, now it is impossible. There is no way to store GRFs data in the save.

that is strange. the first two strings are defined with grf itself, so, the only way for them to be missing is the save from some old version of the ECSagriw.grf. Try to start a new random game and see, if the problem ramains
