I'll put that "On the Pile".

Cheers.
Aegir, may I politely suggest that you don't bother coding these? I have just about all of these mostly coded but commented-out so, if there's demand for them, they can be released fairly easily as part of the next US Stations release. If you want that or would like to discuss either how these are implemented or the setup of the current US Stations (I am slowly warming to having similar options to those you are using) then feel free to do so in the US Set thread.

Other progress here looks good to me, although I'm sure I spotted and then forgot a glitch a while back...

(P.S. Did I miss it being mentioned, but what happened to the station with the bridge? If there are glitch problems with it then I won't mind taking a look to try to fix them.)

Station with a bridge? The Japanese one? Well, I havent started coding anything with a bridge yet.

And well, I wouldnt mind getting out of coding a few things, so if you want to do them, go ahead. I'd love to see those graphics coded, and if you want to do them for the next release of the USSet stations, I'd like it very much.

Also, if you want to use the scheme I use, I've now shifted over to a shorter naming scheme, %Name% Followed by either for Island platforms, For side platforms, and [D] For dual, both sides of the track. Its simpler, looks neater and doesnt make the Lomo-GUI look like crap.

PS, do you know what the max amount of stations per station class is? I've found if I overload it too much TTD just crashes. Thats why I have the basic platforms (HALT) for all the really basic platforms, and the Generic Platforms (MULT) for the platforms with some decorations, Benches, fences, light-posts and the like, usually the platforms that go to a larger more developed station, like the dutch, city, country etc...

Also, can anyone suggest a classier name for Generic Platforms?

krtaylor wrote:Aegir, while you have a bit of time, any possibility that you can give me the information for the empty table in the Readme? I mean, the one listing the station class, number of tracks and length allowed, etc.?

Definitely the iron-ore-loading facility needs to be WAY filthier.
I can give you the class details, but Im currently going back through all of the stations and increasing their max sizes. Due to new developments with GRFMaker I am now un-restricted as to how many custom layouts I can define.

I can give you the stations classes (As of the moment, Im shifting everything around right now before the next release) right now though,

Suburban Stations: ACCE

Basic Platforms (The four lots of sprites Cornelius did originally) : HALT

City Platforms : MULT

Country Platforms: MULT

Country Freight: SECO

Country Passengers: ACCE

Dutch Stations: ACCE

Dutch Platforms: MULT

Goods Sheds (All three): SECO

Pictures and details for max size I cant honestly provide, as I am going through and tweaking the clipping aswell as the sizes for everything.

Yes. Basic Platforms.

Thanks for the class list, but I think I'll wait until, as you say, you've finished reworking the limitations, then do the table all at once. Just please post the info when it's ready, and I'll grab it and add it.

Yes. Basic Platforms.
No, I cant use Basic Platforms, I already have that. And I am not going to merge the two because that causes TTDP to crash due to what I'm guessing is, too many stations in the same class (HALT).

So currently it will have to be MULT for the more decorated paltforms and HALT for the exceeding basic ones, such as gravel, brick etc. Also, the additional sprites that Cornelius made that Oracle said he might code (Or un-comment) should go into HALT aswell.

As it stands, I have the following classes:
Generic Stations (ACCE)
Basic Platforms (HALT)
Generic Platforms (MULT)
Freight Stations (SECO)

Would this qualify as a bug? Maybe it can be fixed, and the problem goes away.

Ill ask Patchman on IRC right now actually.

Hey everybody, I've started adding photos of the stations to the distribution site:

http://www.as-st.com/ttd/stations

I need more of them. I grabbed some from the pictures thread, but I don't have them all. If you've got a good one, please post it here and I'll addit.

BTW, Aegir, I haven't updated the site with your latest test GRFs, because I don't have both Windows and DOS versions. When you think you've got one that's ready to be publicly distributed, just say so and I'll update it. Which version did you post there, the DOS one? It doesn't have the "w" at the end that the Windows ones usually do, but then you didn't used to have that.

Yeah, the pigs.grf is windows, pigs-dos.grf is dos. When I'm ready, Ill post here the proper pigs.grf and pigsw.grf. Those will be for release, atm though, the pigs.grf you can find in my little stockpile is a test version for windows.

Oh, and I can get you much better pictures of all the stations. But, well, I'm busy making more stations :P.

EDIT:

New stuff, slight changes, http://www.bur.st/~aegir/Projects, also a dos .grf. Those are test .grfs, but are stable enough.

Ill look into that, occasionally the latest version of Grfmaker makes a totally stuffed .grf, no idea why. Ill tell Szappy when he gets on IRC before long.

EDIT: Wow, the pallette was completly stuffed, Im not sure how that happened...

EDIT: Theres also a slight graphical glitch on one of the freight stations aswell, z offset wrong by 1px, I think I fixed that already anyways.

It doesn't fit within the station's tiles...

and a station usually doesn't have 2 buildings, does it?

anyways, nice building :!:

The Smaller end is a toilet block.

It is a typical GWR country station... the original TTD station is based on it actually.

also they are used with raised platforms, not ground level ones like in your pic

Needs more detail. It looks like a log cabin. The original has lots of Victorian "frills," you should add those or at least hint at them.
