I have a question

Imagine I have a station between two mines and I deliver engineering supplies. Do both mines get the benefit? What if I deliver only 1 ton?

Thanks

Bob

Primary industries in FIRS increase production if supplied with Engineering Supplies. They do not increase production any other way (in version 0.1).
If station ratings are low, only some of the production will be provided to the station. If station ratings are higher, more of the production will go to the station.

The delivery goes to only one mine. This is a limitation of the game. It's been discussed several times with devs, changing it would be a performance problem.

It's fun to work around it with transfer orders. Deliver to an intermediate station with a large vehicle (plane, ship, train) and then go the final leg with trucks or trams. This also makes it easy to space the deliveries out monthly (timetables could be good, I haven't tried them though!).

In this example the plane drops off supplies and two small trucks deliver them to the sand pits.

Thanks for the answer - is there a rule for which mine gets it? The closest? - in which cases what if they are equidistant?

Cheers

Bob

@ reikaizen : NARS2, 2cc World Trains, Canadian Train set v1, Old Wagons New Cargos, Japan Train Set

You dont need building\city sets to play with FIRS but pretty much any building set you can download like NA Citys, UK town and industry, TTRS, etc.

EDIT : Av8 and FISH are recommened to transport newgrf cargos on ship and aircraft

Google is your friend, try asking google. Also, all openttd releases after 0.7.X have a content downloader which you can get most grf's now for use with FIRS, like NARS2, EGRVTS, FISH, Av8, and other sets that can be used with FIRS.

I might be a noob, but is there an easier way to designate cargo type to trains. Like I can only manage to have trains carry one type of cargo if they are using the same wagons. ?(

Say you want five box wagons goods, five box wagons food....

First buy an engine.
Then buy five box wagons, refit them to goods.
Drag them off the engine to the next row of the depot window.
Buy five more box wagons, refit them to food.
Now put the first five wagons back into the train.

It's a few steps and maybe it could be better, but it works ;)

Ok, weird issue here. Using FIRS, NARS2, eGRVTS and FISH. When I start a new map at 2048x2048 starting Jan 1850 i get (on high industries) 3500 coal mines ! I can get screenshots if you want, just not sure what the issue is.

I can confirm this with FIRS 0.1.2 as long as either height or width (or both) of the map size is 2048. ;) This ist weird! :D

I can confirm that this is a known issue. The problem is with the OTTD map generator rather than FIRS. What version of OTTD do you have?
