So, it doesn't matter if I spam one industry with a lot of supplies?
If that is the case, is the subject to change? Because if I sent 10k supply a month to one industry and 1 to another, they shouldn't recieve the same amount on increase, but then it should also be a max.

It's like sending a nail to one industry and a toolbox with a couple of thousant nails to another (and 10k supply should be like sending 50 toolbox and a million nails, way to much).

The readme can be found in (at least) two places:
- online at http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/
- within the file which you downloaded. If you used the ingame download you downloaded a file called FIRS_Industry_Replacement_Set-0.1.2.tar which is found within the content_download dir within your OpenTTD dir (similar where your savegames are, OpenTTD readme section 4.2 tells you where - depending upon OS). That file can be unpacked and also contains a readme.txt

Screenshots can be aquired via Ctrl+S. They'll also be saved in your OpenTTD dir.

We cannot help you with the error as you didn't tell us which error :-) But a newgrf error can also be described by a screenshot, if the newgrf in question is selected in the ingame newgrf list (see attached screenshot) and / or the red error message (if you got any) is quoted. Most likely would be that you (also) loaded an incompatible newgrf and FIRS de-activated itself.

Thanks for prompt reply.

Now i press Ctrl+S and the screen shows that a png file has been saved. I search my openttd directory and all the subdirectories but there is no png file.
Kindly help.

EDIT: writing the same as here via private mail will neither speed up an answer nor improve the quality of it. Unless it's a private matter I prefer the forums as it has a search function, so that other people can (re-)read what has been said on the same or similar issue they might have in the future.

lumber mill? In general industry sets are more likely to fight with other industry set than for example - modified tunnels.

(emphasis mine)

So please show us the error which FIRS reports or give the samegame

The lumber mill is not the reason. But there are other sets in the newgrf list which may be incompatible upon certain conditions.

It's probably "Station's name from nearby industries".

The lumber mill and the Station names both conflict with FIRS, though the PS shouldn't do anything.

Removed both lumber and stations names. No error message now.

Thanks

Gents

A quick question - hopefully this is the right place for it. If its been discussed before please point me at the correct page

Well actually two questions

1) Is the town growth algorithm still the same under FIRS in temperate - do food deliveries make any difference to town growth?

2) The General Store - what's the point? Bog towns accept food anyway?

Thanks

Bob

Standard houses in temperate never accept food.

Yes. It's not currently possible for newgrf to control this, except by recoding town buildings, and that would be a significant project, and possibly would break compatibility with town sets :)

I am hoping that control over town growth will be made possible for newgrf.

In the mean time, the General Store is a nice black hole for food

I have stations in big cities that accept food that are not in proximity of a General store

Screen shot later if needed I'm at work now though.

I'm not sure what you mean by a Standard house ?(

I'm guessing that TTRS is the culprit here and TTRS is not "standard?"
