Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
i think the corners are a bit weird, there are 2 possible solutions: raise the slopes of 1 step or lower the corner of 1 step (you can see better what i mean in the attachment)

I know, already fixed in my latest local workWolf01 wrote:i think the corners are a bit weird, there are 2 possible solutions: raise the slopes of 1 step or lower the corner of 1 step (you can see better what i mean in the attachment)

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Further to what I said earlier about sub-pixel nudges see attached image. Edges lined up with pixel borders are far clearer, though different lighting may solve this...

Is it time to play the funeral march for this project?

nope, is still under work, but i don't have so much time to do all what i want to do and i left it in the angle until i'll have an holiday from work (maybe this halloween i'll can have 2 or 3 days free to continue it)
Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
Oh thats good. I was wondering that too. It would have been a shame to lose such a good project.
Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
Can I get a link to download the latest grf set?
id love to give it a shot and se ehow i might be able to help.

Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
Unless they're also making a 8-bit equilant, there won't be a GRF.
Since the 32 bit sprites are distributed as PNG's... also the newest version is just a few posts above yours.

Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
some newly drawed roads, now they look better and (at least for these) the linees are correctly aligned

Hmm. There is a problem IMO. The road is quite small and the grass border quite huge. It fits with the rest of the tile graphics, but how small will the busses and trucks be, if they have to fit onto the road?

i might code a drive on right patch set for this, it shouldn't be hardbobingabout wrote:it looks good, but i can't help but think something looks off... is it by any chance designed for drive on right?
Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
Don't you mean drive on the left? or am i just visualising the roads wrong?Wolf01 wrote:i might code a drive on right patch set for this, it shouldn't be hard

and curves now
when i'll be satisfied by my work i'll draw the other 2 stages: city roads and newly placed roads
now i should work on the roadbits, then on the slopes

Re: [Big Project][32bpp] BrickLand Climate
wow, this project is looking sweet! i can't wait till its fully released!
anyway, i can see a slight problem with a curve on the second line down, the last one that turns like this:
the outer lane seems a bit to thick compared to the inner lane but them again, it could just be me

It's a VERY tight fit for the default toyland buses, as can be seen in the screenshot below.skidd13 wrote:There is a problem IMO. The road is quite small and the grass border quite huge. But the roads are still awesome!
(Even in 8bpp, as I didn't feel like reading the documentation on pngcodec and stuff like that)
Maybe it's possible to increase the width by 1 px at each side and decrease the width of the sidelines by 1 px. If decreasing the width of the sideline looks ugly, you're probably going to need 2px extra at each side.
