Well, there is a camping site down the road from me which i walk through at least twie a week, all it has is loads of trees (its built in a wood), and a pond with ducks in the middle...jpmaster wrote:well, I have never gone camping.
What do you usually expect to see around a camp site, that people might come to? ..a Zoo i guess or a nature reserve are the only logical ones i can think of...Mind it'd need a few more squares to do it in.
Either way, if it IS to be part of ECS, then it'll transport tourists, which are a LOT less in number anyway.

Heh... I just gave up with coding.
And Mr Captain "The Caravans Are Too Boxy" Kirk76, I'll see what I can do about those caravan's shapes. (If I can be bothered to do anything at all)
Any other suggestions for graphical changes are welcome, especially now, so I can get it all done in one go.
Well, Merry Christmas ladies.

My turn
DaveWorley: Glad to see you get your feet wet with some coding. Hopefuilly you'll enjoy it and eventually branch out to other projects. This forum is in dire need of coders for projects such as the French Set ( oops! a blatant ad)
Darkmast49: At considerable risk of revealing my true age, I grew up in a ski resort region to the north of Montréal. The village trippled in population over the weekends due to skiers transported to the region by trains dedicated to the skier service. The engines were steamers and depending upon the length of the train were often double headed. The only reason the service was discontinued was because the railroad decided to abandon the line. The service was replaced by busses.
Everybody: The caravans that seem to be represented in the drawings appear to be of the "pulled by the family auto" variety. Such caravan parks obviously would not be served by public transportation but they do tend to be located close to or within larger tourist resorts which are often served by train and/or bus so go for it! This project is a worthy addition to TTDX, via ECS or otherwise.
2-10-0: The caravans look good but yes, they could do with a small touch of rounding, perhaps just a pixel or two. Keep up the good work.

How about in Czechia where there is usually a public bus service to a camp site or a train service to a village which has a campsite as well. I think its nice, but to have more passengers why not use more tents (eg backpackers) Backpackers do travel a lot by public transport. They are so called cheap tourists.

I started this to discuss the possibility of coding the industry.
No one ever did though.

Yes, someone give him a cookie. Thats the only logical way to justify having a service to the place!Dave Worley wrote:Hmmm... ameecher's idea is a good one.
