One old "monorail" build in 1930:
http://dewi.ca/trains/bennie/index.html

Maybe some nice details or seomething, or to build in 1930 a early monorail thingie
And much more monorail info: http://www.monorails.org/tMspages/special.html
And how about the switches:

Segmented Switch -- The segmented switch is the most commonly used straddle-beam monorail switch in Japan. The segmented track allows the beam to go from a straight position to a curved one. This way little space is used for the switch and the trains can run through them faster. It was invented by the ALWEG Company in the 1950's. The Osaka monorail uses segmented switches as above.

Suspended Monorail Switch -- Both the SAFEGE and SIPEM suspended monorails have advanced switch designs for monorails far beyond the Wuppertal technology. SAFEGE has pivoting horizontal plates inside the box beam that act as running surfaces in either direction of the switch. SIPEM uses technology in which a vertical plate pivots inside the switch. The load-bearing wheels briefly run on one side of the beam while the train transits from one beam to the other. This diagram is of a SAFEGE-type switch as seen from above.

Beam Replacement Switch -- A straight section of beam pivots to the side while a curved section moves into place. Walt Disney World has switches like this that cycle in twelve seconds. This type of switch was also invented by the ALWEG Company.

Rotary Switch -- Common to peoplemover class steel-beam monorails, rotating switches replace a straight section of track with a curved one. This one is located near Parking Lot Station E at Newark International Airport.

hello world Locomotion:
I made a very big mistake think the picture I put here was a monorail
but it is really a Mavtrain, but still this should be in the game.
thanks

I know, I use the pic as an example of what a maglev is, for those who not know the difference between a maglev and a monorail.Akalamanaia wrote:Thats the German Transrapid -_- .
And its a Maglev not a monorail.
Difference:
Monorailtrains are trains who uses 1 electrified/magnetised rail to propel them self on the track.
Maglevtrains are trains who uses 1 magnetised rail to propel them self on above the track.
So I think.

Is there a chance the track could bend?

I am not entirely sure what you mean, but in LoMo, you can see the switches moving. Thus the code for that is there and it could be used for a Monorail/Maglev switch, like in the (excellent) post Illegal_Alien made.Downmaster wrote:In what way???? You mean for switches? Certainly not. But Locomotion's resolution wouldn't allow to see the switches themselves anyway.

I heard the stories that they tell of how they labored for this company which sold it's soul to hell
