We are mid air now, the captain has switched off the seatbelt sign and the flight attendands are starting to serve the first round of drinks. So put you seat back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment.

BGT350: "Bogota, this is Bogotana350, heading 210, flight level 50"
Bogota Departure: "Good Day Bogotana350, Climb flight level 330, continue heading"

Part 8:

We are 3 hours into our flight and the meals are being served. As usual, the choice between beef or chicken in the Economy class, while passengers in the business class get a starter as well. The guests on the first class are starting to get drunk already from all the champagne. First officer Manuela Beredez is taking over the main duty, while captain Mendoza is going to have a short rest.

As the are passing Puerto Ordaz, the Barcelona Control is calling:

Barca: "Bogotana 350, your traffic is an Airbus 340-300 from Gulf Air, 10 miles north-west of you. Maintain visual seperation, Climb to flight level 330"
BGT350: "Copy on the Airbus, climbing to 330, Bogotana 350"

Barca: "Bogotana, contact Callao Control now on one-two-seven dezimal 3. Hava a good day"
BGT350: "Callao on point3, thank you and good day"

Part 9:

5 hours into the flight now. The sky is turning dark and passengers are settling into a cosy sleep, or start to get board by the inflight movie. Mendoza is back in the cockpit and Beredez can now also take a short rest.
Passenger Martin Smith on 47D is on his 6th Rum&Coke and starts dreaming of beautiful beaches, sunshine and good waves for surfing.

BGT350: "Callao Center, Bogotana 350, with from Barca, flight level 330, heading 270. Destination is Oruro"
Callao: "Bogotana 350, Hola Mendoza, how are the kids?. Continue current heading and flight level. Will you be with us on the barbeque on Saturday?"
BGT350: "Hola Juan, we will continue current heading and flight level. Kids are fine, thanks. Wife is pregnant again. I'll see what I can do on the barbeque, Bogotana 350"
Callao: "Oh, you should get a new hobby"
BGT350: "Hah, yeah, probably should"

Part 10
Seven hours into the flight. The flight attendands are waking up the passengers to serve the breakfast. Only Martin Smith does not want to wake up just yet. In the meantime, the baby on row 34 started screaming for some unknown reason, wreaking the head of just about everyone around.

Mendoza is calling on Oruro Approach.
BGT350: "Oruro, Bogotana 350 with you established on flight level 330 from Callao"
Oruro Appr.: "Goog moming Bogotana350, decend flight level 235 continue heading"
BGT350: "flight level 235 and current heading. thank you Bogotana 350"

Part 11:
Oruro Airport is pretty busy, so Bogotana 350 has to make a couple of rounds on in the holding pattern. In the meantime, the cabin is getting prepared for landing, all seat back have to be put into the upright position. Bussines Class passsenger, Manager Peter Müller on 12B, is getting into an argument with the purser on why he now has to shut down his notebook.

Oruro Appr: "Bogotana 350, you are number 3 on the approach, decend flight level 50, make a slow left turn 360 degrees turn and when established on the ILS for Runway 27R contact tower on 118 dezimal 5"
BGT350 "flight level 50, tree-sixty to the left and contact tower on point5."

BGT350: "Oruro Tower, Bogotana 350 established on ILS Runway 27 right, flight level 50"
Oruro Tower: "Bogotana 350, reduce to one-nine-zero knots, your number one, cleared to land"
BGT350: "cleared to land, Bogotana 350"

Oruro Tower: "Bogotana 350, turn left, cross Runway 27 left and hold short on Alpha"
BGT350: "Cross Runway 27left, holding short on Alpha, Bogotana350"

Part 14:
On the ground, the purser is welcoming the passengers to Oruro Airport. "...Outside temperature is 28 degrees Celcius. Local time is just approaching 7:30 in the morning. Please remain seated until the aircraft has reached its designated gate the engines are switched off and the captain turns off the fasten seatbelt sign. We hope to see on board again soon. Thanks for flying with Bogotana."

In the meantime, first officer Beredez is requesting last instructions from the tower:

BGT350: "Oruro, Bogotana 350 holding on Alpha 1"
Oruro Ground: "Bogotana 350, good day, after the Quantas 767 vacated from Taxiway charly, Taxi Alpha1, Charly 1, to stand 2 Romeo"
BGT350: "After Quantas 767, taxi Alpha 1, Charly 1 to stand 2 Romeo"

Part 15: Last Part.

The Bogotana 777 has made it safely to the gate. All passengers left the aircraft, just Martin head to be woken up by the crew. Mendoza is thanking his flight crew for a great flight. The crew bus will take them to the Crowne Plaza Hotel just off the Airport where they will have rest of 24hrs before their return flight tomorrow morning.
