Ignoring Local Authority

Post by pavel1269 »

I made a patch that allows you to delete whole city. City will dislike you so much, but you will be still able to build there a station.

In multiplayer, I recomend it only to fairplay servers or with an active admin, because someone can get bored and delete all cities. :?

UPDATE: Spell check and updated patch. I forget Savegame BUMP.

The idea is good for players who want to stress on building rails not trees...Like #coop server or something..
PS: And I stopped the propaganda to support Dave Worley since he got a nice new red hat now.[/color]
I know I have a BBCode error in my signature but I really cba to fix it.

This may be usefult for special servers like openttdcoop or alike, but probably unusable for regular multiplayer, as anybody could easily sabotage mail, goods or passenger transport by wiping out all buildings in vicinity of competitors station (which is technically possible even now, but it is much harder) to ensure these will not be accepted
If you need something, do it yourself or it will be never done.

My patches: Extra large maps (1048576 high, 1048576 wide) (FS#1059), Vehicle + Town + Industry console commands (FS#1060), few minor patches (FS#2820, FS#1521, FS#2837, FS#2843), AI debugging facility

Other: Very large ships NewGRF, Bilbo's multiplayer patch pack v5 (for OpenTTD 0.7.3)

Well, cheats are in the save, therefor you can easy use cheats also on servers, but the difference might be, that this way the town itself doesn't "bulldoze" needed industries.

I rewrote the patch here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=74925
The one here is very old and not compatible with new versions AT ALL. Don't even try to apply it :) It won't work. If you found this topic on the internet and want to disable/ignore local authorities in recent OpenTTD versions, take a look at my patch instead. :)
