Just got an idea for a new buffer which can easily be made.

A buffer like the one sided platform, but with a ramp or stair at the end.

That would be a waste of at least 4 valuable station-ID's. Just place one of the non-track tiles with ramp and stairs at the end of a singlesided platformed buffer.

Within a set there is (255 max, 28 left now and there is work being done on some stuff I really would like to include in this set).
Not within a game (like with the new-objects).

Were can I find version 0.7 ? Every time when I go to Bananas and click on "Dutch Station Add-on Set version 0.7 ,I get version 0.1 ?! :(

You're station set is fantastic !

(Translate to NL)

Waar kan ik versie 0.7 vinden van de Dutch Station Add-On set ? Elke keer als ik op de link in Bananas klik , krijg ik versie 0.1 ?!

When you download it from Bananas, does it then show up in your inactive GRF-list?
If so, you have to remove v0.1 from your active list and replace it with v0.7 and then start a new game.
As it is not recommended to change GRF's in a running game ;-)

I have the feeling that the set will be divided in the Dutch station buildings set en Dutch Extra platform set once.

I really like this set, everyone involved is doing a fantastic job!
Do the platforms show people on them when there are passengers waiting, like in NewStations, Japanese Stations, and Canadian Stations? When I tested in-game, I didn't see any; this is a feature that I highly desire in station sets. Unfortunately, NML doesn't support stations (yet), so I can't offer to help out with the code, but I could do some pixel-pushing if need be, if someone can wrangle the NFO-code for cargo-based graphics.

Passengers on platforms aren't included ATM, it would be quite epic indeed. I've heard it'd be a lot of work to code such a feature, so not sure it's worth you spend time pixeling these passengers until a coder's willing to code them :P I appreciate your offer to help though, a lot! :)

I quite like that feature too on other stationsets and it would be great to have that on both Dutch sets, but I can already let you know that I'm not going to do that. But both sets are GPL so anyone can pick this up and impliment that feature.

Awesome set! I also love some good half platforms finally being released in a NewGRF, since I drew a spritesheet about a year ago for the Japan Set with very similar platforms as well. However, I never got to programming them, since NML didn't support stations back then.

i think its a callback that defines how much cargo is waiting, have a look at MB's set, they have pax populating the station

It´s not a callback, "passengers on stations" are realized by station loading states. However, you´d need *lots* of new sprites with different loading states (passengers) for all available platforms. And those loading states can´t just be "overlays" because that won´t work for roofed platforms or platforms with any other objects on it.

Oh really? I must have misread the manual... That's too bad. I guess I won't be starting a new project then for redoing the Japan Station Set.

The Dutch Station Addition Set platforms match with Japanese trains pretty well (apart from the standard NS signs, fences, etc. which look a bit strange when combined), so I think it's no problem to us those two together.

Thank you very much for creating this wonderfull addition set :D
It so nice to be able to make good looking island and single side platforms! 8) :P

I have a suggestion for the set though.
Is it possible to make a non-track tile with stairs down to a platform tunnel?
When building a station with island platform(s), you can build stairs to the tunnel on the platforms, but no stairs beside the tracks, to create access to the tunnel.

It should be possible to extract the stairs from the platform tiles, and put it on a plain non-track tile.

I hope you understand my suggestion, I'm not able to create screenshots for you at the moment. :)

Yes, and a good suggestion! But maybe it would look even better if it is done in a way like these tiles from the VAST-object set:

A fake tunnel so to say. I think that will look a bit more interesting.

As for the people on platforms, can someone provide me with the neccessary code (in NFO and under GPL-license) for a single tile? I might be interested in making a few tiles passenger aware.

Yes, this was more og less what i had in mind. :)
(but you placed your fake tunnel and stairs a bit odd on this screenshot)

Maybe you can add both the stairs, and a fake tunnel sprite?
The tunnel you need to draw, but the stairs can be copy-pasted from the platform sprites. :wink:
