[OTTD] LicTor's Screenshots

Post by LicTor »

Hello guys, my name is Stepan and I come from Czech Republic. I have been writing about my game on the Czech TTD forum and I thought I can share some of my screenshots here as well. I have found a lot of great inspiration here so I hope some of my work may inspire you too :)

My company was founded in 1922, here is a small animation how the work progresses:
  • Image
And let's start with the chemical plant in Bernatice for example - shortly after the transport of fuel oil began, it bankrupted and LicTor transport decided to invest in it and put it back on its feet:

The first significant railway accident happened in 1928 - a passenger train derailed near town Svetla nad Sazavou because of defects on the tracks and ended in the Sazava river. Fortunately there were no casualties, just 2 people seriously injured a 22 slightly. The material damage was significant, however the 365.0 locomotive could have been repaired.

Oh I really like that last photo of the train in the river  I enjoy the artistic liberty some people take with their screenshots. It adds another dimension. Please keep posting some more! :)

You know, you can upload the photos here. That way, it will load faster.

Thank you for all those nice comments! :) Here are few more screenshots:

The first large railway depot was built in Jindrichuv Hradec - you can see the sheds, coaling station, water crane, ash removal facility, repair buildings and others:

And the entire station can be seen here (but it's an old photo, the refinery area is much bigger now for example):

The steelworks in Kardasova Recice is so far the largest industrial complex in the country:
  • Image
Locomotives leave full wagons in the first part of the station and then leave with empty ones. The full wagons are then taken by one of the several shunting locomotives and moved to coking plant (coal) or directly to the blast furnaces (iron ore).

Over the past years there have been several minor accidents with only material damage, at worst with minor injuries of railway employees. However by the end of 1930, the first fatal accident happened at the Vlcice station.

Locomotive 434.250 leading a tank train ran into a passenger train Hostinne-Svoboda nad Upou (waiting at the station) due to a dispatcher's error. Fortunately the last wagon in the passenger train was a mail car and the employees managed to get away after seeing the incoming locomotive. Post wagon had been turned into a pile of rubble, the next passenger car was blown off the tracks and also heavily damaged and the other two cars derailed as well, but the damage had been minor. Total balance - 4 dead, 31 injured.

Nice picture, I like the leftover wagons at the station and the "shunting" little locomotives! :) It looks like they could exchange their wagons to longer trains instead of unload and ther load in again.

At the end of 1931, first two prototypes of a powerful tank locomotive for passenger trains in the vicinity of large cities were finally finished.
  • Image
The testing started immediately - however, after a warm December came harsh winter, which examined the locomotives very thoroughly. And they held up with honor which eventually led to their nickname Krasin - after an icebreaker that saved general Nobile's North Pole expedition.

Here in action - 456.001 Krasin piercing the snowdrift near Chlumec nad Cidlinou:
