Hey,
I have a problem and I hope You will help me to solve it.
Is there any way to prevent industries from closing down? [I know there is this option while creating scenario in Locomotion, but I prefer OpenTTD] It really makes me mad when factory closes down just after I have built a big train line leading to it...
do you mean loco or ottd? cause you say "[I know there is this option while creating scenario in Locomotion, but I prefer OpenTTD]"
i did all models/renderings/textures myself. no conversions.

Thatnk in advance
I build my own industries and set the option for magic bulldoze off. I have never noticed that my industies were closed down or bulldozed away.
I think you're missing the problem. Secondary industries that arnt serviced will close down sooner or later. Play on a large enough map, and if you focus on one area, you'll discover the rest of the map devoid of secondary industries.
If you're building your own industries, I'm 99% sure that you'll be using them straight away, and wont have the problem.

You're correct. I was assuming that you had problems with industries that you serve.
I had games where there hadn't been a single factory in the end... and that's on a 512x512 map, usually becuse I hadn't bothered industry chains and just have gone for coal and passengers.
I am now confused. I load in Nightly r7194 a savegame. After 2 moths and 22 days my factory and some other industries are gone (startdate was set at 1-1-1978) and magic bulldoze is set off (see screenshot). This is a selfmade game where I have put this factory (and the others that are gone) by myself. So does anyone know what's going on?
I found this bug in the Nightly MiniIN Build 7123. After fiddling with a few of the patched options and a bit of experimenting, I found that mines all close after one months due to the "Enable Predicted Supply From Mines" Patch. Turning this off solved the problem for me.

With a bypass I solved the problem. I deleted all industries, build new ones and bought the land that surounds the industries (see screenshot). Not a very nice solution but it works.

I presume correctly that this option is not possible in a Nightly?
If you are using any version of the MiniIN build you will find the option under Economy in the "Configure Patch" menu. If you are not using MiniIN then sorry...
I did notice one odd thing. I accidentally left "Magic Bulldozer" on after removing some pesky lighthouses. Later on, a station was no longer receiving coal. I didn't remember any "closure" notices.
After a few experiments, I discovered that if the town tries to expand, it might want to put a road through an industry. If "Magic Bulldozer" is on, the industry is blown away.
So, the town gets to use the Bulldozer too! Is that intended?
