Hi, ive seen the bug posted on the bugtracker site, but there hadn't been replies there since april.
I've seen this bug occur too now, and I think I know how to reproduce it.
The problem is that sometimes trains pass a waypoint, but don't 'recognize it' and just pass it without going to the next order in the list.
This happened to me in the following (and only in the following) case:
- Make rails with a waypoint somewhere
- Set trains to go through waypoint
- Delete waypoint (grey name remains visible)
- Make new waypoint on a different space nearby
- New waypoint takes the properties of the old waypoint (same as stations)
- But alas... trains don't see this new waypoint.
Hope you can fix this, because now when I want to relocate a way point I need to give my trains new orders as well.
Also, on a side note, is it possible to have waypoints spread out over multiple squares? Or an option to join multiple waypoints as one? Because when I have double of triple tracks, and I want my trains to go over an waypoint, all 3 tracks would need to converge to one track, with the waypoint on it.
Or is this already possible, if so, how?
Thanks.

Hmm, I think I understood what you are talking about after reading it through some more timesIldefonse wrote:Hi, ive seen the bug posted on the bugtracker site, but there hadn't been replies there since april.

And yes, I would say its a bug that needs to be fixed, maybe I even have an idea how to do it
But for relocating a waypoint you will have to give the orders to your train again, because there is no way for the game to determine wether you want to build a new waypoint and delete the old because its no longer needed or you really want the trains to take the new waypoint...
If I dont get something wrong, it is possible if you enable TTDpatch-compatible non-stop handling and use a station with platformlength 1 and multiple platforms and then give the trains the order to go through there non-stopAlso, on a side note, is it possible to have waypoints spread out over multiple squares? No no, it is just like with deleting a station. When you delete a station, and this station is in some trains orders, and you build it again in the same location more or less, this new station "becomes" the same old station, with the train's orders still intact.
The same should apply to waypoints. (And it does, but with the bug as mentioned above). Of course if I move a station/waypoint farther away, I will need to re-assign orders.
So I think you misunderstood me there.
About the station... yeah I figured that, but thought since waypoints are in, waypoints might do the trick as well.
