TTD on Win ME

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. I just bought the Replay version of TTD.
I'm having trouble installing the game onto my Win Me set up.
Has anyone else had such trouble?

Just what kind of trouble ?
unzipping, config settings, music , the game options ?
give us a bit more information please

I hit the install.exe button then the language selector screen appears.
When I choose English I get a black window with a cursor in it....but I can't move the cursor or type in the window. And that's it, that's all that happens.
According to the packaging, I can playthis game with Win Me.....assuming i can get it instaled of course!!

When I installed first TTD on Win Me I had no problems. Then came Win Xp and I needed the TTDPATCH to run the game.

1. could you try to install it on another pc ? one with Win Me on it
my contacts tell me that it should work properly on Win Me
also if it does not work on another one, then your cd could be damaged
try returning it to the shop and ask them to check it

2. are their any guidelines to install the game in the pc box ?
check it twice if there is anything special with Win Me installs !

3. i hate to say this, a re-format of your pc perhaps, only use this as last resort

4. when you put in the cd, does it give you a pop-up box with an install button on it ? or do you use explorer and search for an install.exe ?

5. try to download a version for free from the internet and try to install this one, perhaps this will help, there is a link on this forum

i can't really help with WinMe as i have WINXP
