Would it be possible to add to the localauthority-window a remark that mentions the datethat the "Buy exclusive transport rights" is about to expire?
Now it is almost impossible to tell when to renew this.
Hmm, maybe, that needs more research.

Would it be possible to close both of the local authority windows, while closing just one of them?
You mean if the town window is closed, the select window should close too, sure should be possible, if I can find the other window.

-edit-
Would it be possible to move the station construction window, aswell as the depot construction window
to the topleft or topright location in the main window. Now they are mostly in the way of constructing.
I don't think it's good, but maybe I will/can do it.

Seems I need a bigger bit set for enhancegui :? and some free time to write 1000 more assembler lines for enhancegui, currently it has *only* 250 lines of code. Presignals has ~1300 ;)

Here are three suggestions to make it easier for me:
  • Can you put electrified rail last in the menu list, then I don't have to scroll up
  • Can you put the fastest bridge first in the list, then I don't have to scroll down
  • When you hit the delete button , is it possible to leave the railroad building toolbar (or veh.,ships,aircraft)
I'm getting old you know
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

No I didn't, maybe you should buy a LGB rail for your garden :wink:

*confused* What delete button that closes the toolbar?

The keyboard key 'Delete', it closes all windows

I didn't get that message, but I used cht:year 2003.
With cht:year 2002 it does appear. :oops:

maybe a new hotkey for morehotkeys!?!? (I don't want to change buildin behavior of TTD to much)

mmm the only thing spiff is saying: normally when you press delete all windows close; but spiff wants to keep the building window open...

Suggestions....hummmm..... I wonder if Im in the right place

Post by Centennial_Tycoon »

1. I agree, the delete button shouldnt close all windows
2. Now since we do have a GUI to make 7x7 stations, cant we have tracks of greater length using ctrl - 7 is just not enough when you have 40 wagons!!!
3. Can 40a be made compatible (\part of) 41?
4. Hail to longer depots!!!!! - the game needs them
5. I too believe that quickest bridgesfirst - the young ones are lazy too u know!
6.I agree with - Would it be possible to close both of the local authority windows, while closing just one of them?
This is my truth, now tell me yours.

yes and No, I already build a crappy looking 3 x 10 Station and asked Josef.
He said that some/many routines only use 3 bits and don't like more. They will break or don't function properly. No way, or you would check every assembler line in TTD if it will use only 3 bits and rewrite them.
3. Can 40a be made compatible (\part of) 41?
Hmm, I would then use 40b instead :wink:
4. Hail to longer depots!!!!! - the game needs them
No way, Depots aren't like station, they are only special tracks, thats why there is the depot error with tracks at the opposit of the entry.
5. I too believe that quickest bridgesfirst - the young ones are lazy too u know!
Maybe for future, the problem, TTD uses simply the internal list. And so the wooden bridge is the first...
6.I agree with - Would it be possible to close both of the local authority windows, while closing just one of them?
Already said, could be done, I need to look in the code first, before I can say it exactly.

With the current patch it is possible to design 7x5 or 5x7 platforms. I wonder if the following will be posible too:

=======
=======
=======
=======
=======
=======

It would neatly cover 3 farms I have in my new game. Right now it says "too close to existing station".

With the current patch it is possible to make a 7 x 7 tiled station.
(You have to use the ctrl-button).
Or you need the experimental version 40a from Oskar. :lol:

Oh really? Why didn't I know of that.. Looked at my post again and it looks ridiculous. I meant 4 platforms of size seven with two more of the same length but starting halfway the other 4 tracks. You will get 2 platforms sticking out then (or 4, depends on how you see it).

YES YES YES!!!

If we can't have stations on curves, it would be SO nice to have stations where the ends didn't all line up neatly. The signalling would be a little weird but it would be so useful, particularly in a city. Tons and tons of prototype examples of this, too.

Compatible? The 40a patch was created out of my 38a source thread.
I can intergrate my patches to 41, why not?
But 40a is outdated, currently 40b is my current dev version (with horizontal trashbutton)
and if I rewrite station and the trashbutton move routine, the version will surely get 40c.
Then when I finished my work or before I release a experimental version I will move to the newest ttdpatchsrc.
