Industry Chain

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Members;

After finally finding out how to access all those new Industry 'toys', I see that we have
a whole more products to make and we need an "Industry Chain", (i.e. Glass works
need sand and coal, then it produces Glass.)

So, I've made a screenie of the the new Industries. :wink:

Quik-Scan Industry Chart

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Fans;

I've made, what I believe, is a simple 'Quik-scan' New Industry Chart.
There are [30] New Industries listed in Temperate Mode. Please look in
the topic "GRFCrawler" for the names of all those wonderful people who
made these fantastic new industry 'Toys' possible! :lol:

Here's the 'Quik-Scan' chart. Look at the above screenie to see how they look.

Always,
Jim Powers

Re: ttdpatch.cfg

Post by DaleStan »

Delete everything from the beginning up to and including the [ttdxconfig] tag, and also delete the locomotiongui.defaultnewgui=off lines.

Then open it with TTDXC again.

Better yet (IMO) would be to uninstall TTDXC, and use notepad to edit your config.
For config updating, create a shortcut to TTDPatch, edit the shortcut and add "-!T- -W ttdpatch.cfg" (without the quotes) to the target.

For example if the target was originally

Code: Select all

"C:\MPS\TTWin95\ttdpatchw.exe"
change it to

Code: Select all

"C:\MPS\TTWin95\ttdpatchw.exe" -!T- -W ttdpatch.cfg
(The quotes in the original target may or may not be present; if they aren't, it's not necessary to add them.)

Then rename the shortcut to something like "Update my config", and run it every time you upgrade TTDPatch.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Game Progress

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. DaleStan;

Thanks for trying to help me, Kind Sir. Now, I have a few questions to do what you've suggested.
Then open it with TTDXC again. Is this the Text Document file?
(I'm too afraid of screwing up something big and then I can't play TTD.)
This looks too complicated and I don't want to be a 'pain'anymore than possible. :oops:

Thanks for your support, My Friend.

Here's my latest screenie of "Lone Star Transport Co." From "Totally Texas".

Then open it with TTDXC again.

"it" is ttdpatch.cfg. I'm not sure whether that's a "Yes" or a "No", though.

Somehow, TTDXC got royally confused and decided you needed two copies of your config, which you do not. Once you manually remove the extra copy, TTDXC should become un-confused, at least for a while.

Mr. Geo.c Ghost;

Thanks, my Friend, for your encouragement!

Mr. Miketrak, I also Thank You for your kind letter of inspiration, Sir. You are
the type of TTD people that keeps me making scenarios. And speaking of
scenarios, I have a sneaking suspicion that you'll soon be seeing
Japanese scenarios in the near future!

I Found A Sand Hauler

Post by Jim Powers »

Hey;

I've found that the General Goods ship will haul sand, and is the only vehicle
that I've found so far, that hauls Wood Products. :wink:
So, I built Canals (in Texas?) to my two Furniture Factory and am supplying Them.

Pic shows sand hauling.

Thanks, good Buddy! As long as there's an interest, I'll be cranking 'em out.
Really, It's a lot of fun to challenge yourself and then have others enjoy your efforts.
You all have been most kind and gracious at allowing me to be a part of your wonderful
forum. I never surf anywhere to 'chat' or anything like that, I'm just a very lucky guy
that's involved in The Game along with some super nice and helpful people. :wink:

Spicy Spain

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Fans;

Here's my latest scenario "Spicy Spain".
I just finished it late last night so that it would ready for you all to play it this weekend.
"Spicy Spain" reminds me of red hot Chili Peppers, bull fights, spanish olives, beautiful
women, etc. A very interesting country indeed! When I looked for the industries of Spain,
I found that they have relative few kinds of industries. But, there are farming, coal, iron,
potash and even oil. (Funny what 'goodies' you find while making scenarios.) Anyway,
with ample shorelines, high mountains and plenty of plains, one can have a ball playing "Spicy Spain"!

So, without further ado, here's "Spicy Spain"! Adios Amigos. :wink:

Jim Powers

Gracias, señor!
