yea lots of sound variation is nice!
cuz you can get sick of hearing the same sound over and over.
and nowadays the size of a game doesn't matter anymore so he can add loads of soundeffects and nice high-quality(qua sound) music.

btw It looks spiffing= It looks like spaceman-Spiff?

in that case:

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

(j/k spiff ;) )
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ideally, the game directory should have an mp3 folder to be able to copy your mp3s into and use an internal playlist feature. If not, I'd like some ambient music, not blues and jazz. Jazz is music that goes nowhere. :x

Oh, and this is my first post. Hey.

Anyway, I thinl LM looks pretty nice. The screens on gamespot are a bit pixely, but that could be the jpg too.
I think this game will rock.
I press my point.
Why not run something like winamp in the background?
I heard the stories that they tell of how they labored for this company which sold it's soul to hell

I think TTDs music is a bit boring but remember this was made many many years ago. I think the RCT music was better but that is because it is a theme park simulator type thing, this is a transport simulator so the music from that would be rubbish.

I usually don't listen to the music in TTD, it is too adictive to have music running - if I do have it running I usually don't realise it has stopped for a while when it does sometimes.

There's that one track 'Can't Get There From Here' which has a huge gap of silence in the middle. It always caught me out, mainly because I was expecting some sort of bonus track like Blue Flashing Light on Travis' The Man Who to appear, not two seconds of piano at the end. Bitter disappointment fell upon me.
