Recently I found a fantastic heightmap of the Baltic Sea. First I thought to play this heightmap with random towns and industries. But later on I decided, this heightmap should be played with the original towns, so I'm developing it now. I use Google maps to place towns on the right spot. I'm also trying to add the major rivers like: Elbe, Oder, Wisla, Weser, Dvina. However I could use any help from you. For instance, I don't know where to place the industries exactly.
Region: Baltic Sea
Countries:Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and some really small parts from Czech Republic, Belarus, Finland and Norway.
Size map: 2048x2048
Setting: Temperate
OpenTTD version: 1.1.5
Quantity of Towns: Unknown
Quantity of Industries: Unknown

Re: [WIP]Baltic Sea
Great map-design! Looks beautiful and the right amount of cities.
Re: [WIP]Baltic Sea
I'll post a new overview shot of the progress so far.
I have to add the Vänern lake in Sweden, but I found it very difficult to get the right shape of the lake. So if anyone want to try for me, that would be amazing.

Re: [WIP]Baltic Sea
This looks very promising. Looking forward to give this a go.
