if you cant figure it out.. do a full system restore...

or just backup all your files.... insert your windows XP\98\95\ME\2000 disk and boot from the CD rom and format the hard drive and re-install windows!!! and install all up to date drivers and you should be okay

Have you tried re-downloading the demo and installing it?

The black screen does show up for me for 2-3 seconds before the Atari movie shows. It could be that the movie isn't loading so your getting the black screen constantly.

I would install de directX delivered with the Demo. Then it will probably work. Never use a DirectX when it's not finished!

if it is the movie problem:
- install some codecs (codec-packs)
- if it is possible (if you can find it) find and delete movie file somewhere in Locomotion directory ... may help

I'm now at a friends place, where we got a problem installing Locomotion Demo.

I click on the executable file, a window pops up asking my email adress and if I want more info per e-mail and such, I click next...

The window dissapears and the installation program simply wont start :?

Windows XP
Direct X 9.0b
Pentium 4 2.40 GHz

Can anybody help us?

You need Direct X 9.0c...

If you got XP, load SP2 from live update.

after that window disappears, installing program startes to load, and starts several minutes later.

(having no other apps open generally helps. ;))

SP2 is not necessary (and I personally recommend not installing it).

DirectX 9.0C isn't needed. 9.0b is needed. 9.0c isn't officially available yet!..

@lakie: Download the demo from another place. Somebody has messed with the files. When you install the demo.. en you start it for the first time.. it will take a little time but just like in RCT there will be a little window saying: Locomotion is started for the first time, please wait..

something like that!

well.. Enjoy!

In fact, the game works fine with DirectX 8.0 which I have. Since it's not using 3D graphics it would probably work with 6.0 even...

Move the file to another directory and try again, I know its rediculous, but it worked for me.
