New 1920's era Bus

Post by DanMacK »

I wanted an older style bus for the early years in TTD, so I decided to make one. I took the NFO from Wile E. Coyote's Hereford Lion on the TTDGraphics site and used it as a base. The graphics were completely done by me, only the wheels are from the original TTD graphic, and even they've been modified.

The bus is based on a GM bus from the late teens/early 20's, but doesn't follow any specific prototype.

Below is a zip containing a brief readme and the grf.

Enjoy...

Very nice!

Maybe they can be included in George's set? Do they conflict? Or the US set?

I'm working on it, but it takes time, because I modify graphics too (I have the permission)

To avoid conflicts in road vehicles read the ID's allocation schema first. And the LV3 ID's allocation schema

OK, how do I make a DOS version as opposed to Windows? Just change the palette when I encode it and change the filename? or is there something in the .nfo I need to change?

you need to encode with "-m 1" if I recall correctly. there's a post about it in Zimmlock's building thread.

I think it's perfect the way it is actually, short of bugfixing (hopefully there won't be any needed), I think no changes are needed - I love it!

Thanks

I've thought of redrawing it a bit to eliminate the company colours. Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm rather happy with it as-is as well.

As for it looking like the one from Loco... there's only so many ways you can draw a classic GMC bus :P
