Gentle slopes?

Would it be possible to make gentle slopes? Like a slope that takes 2 squares long instead of 1, but doesn't make the train decelerate that much?

i'm asking this since i'm registered here

about railroad on slopes, it's a bit unrealistic, in the real world the standard slope for a "normal" train is 3m*1000m, in some conditions can be more, but the standard is it

in this game the "standard" slope is 25m*50m, about 30 degrees!!!

I agree, it would allow for a more serious take on the building part of the game, thinking like an engineer, instead of just flattening everything and building straight lines between stations, that is a really noobish thing to do.

In the realistic acceleration mode slopes are considered to be 5% (5m*100m). They just look that steep.

i have a TTDX map (downloaded, not mine) i arctic climate, there all mountains are cut to let the railroad be horizontal, a complete natural disaster
