Heres a question for u Mr. Jim Powers,
I have download all the saved games you have posted here but none of them seem to work.
They frezze up and i cant click anything, i can move the mouse but i cant click anything and on the worlds largest TTD map i downloaded that also and tried it but the subway stations wernt there and the train tunnels were roads not railway.
please could you answer why this is

1. What version of the Patch are you using?

2. Mostly they are scenarios, not savegames, and they appear when you click "Play Scenario" in the main menu. Does that work for you?

3. Can you play the game at all, for a little while, or does it freeze up immediately when you start it?

1. 2.0.1 alpha 31 (windows)

Did you copy the file into your TTD directory?

How can you play it? I mean, how do you get it into the game to be played?

ya i copyed it into the TTD directory is the extension .SV1 or SV0 for scenarios?


i goto start > all programs > transopt tycoon > play transport tycoon deluxe

The extension is SV0.

You described the link to the game that's in your Start menu. Are you sure that link is to the Patch? It has to be to the Patch executable (ttdpatchw.exe) not the original game executable (gamegfx.exe) But that's a different problem, if you were doing that wrong you wouldn't get any of the Patch features.

ya it is the patch one i checked it out and it was right.

OK then, can you describe step-by-step exactly what you're doing, and what happens?

laoaded scenarios:
1. load game
2. load scenario
3. game freezes cant play
4. alt - tab to goto desktop
5. load task manager
6. close TTD
7. throw fhokin pc out the window
8. get an ice cold drink

Dear Richarro1234;

Sorry to hear you're having scenario download problems. You are in
the right forum to get answers though. There are some real genuises here.
I'm sure not one. No one else is having this problem, so we need to
consentrate on what you're doing or not doing. If you look at the amount
of downloads that have been had on my scenarios, you'd know that I would
have been "hammered" with letters if there was a problem. Let the "pros"
do their thing and get you up and running. Right "Pros"?

load game then load scenario, what is this all about ????
Post some screenshots of what you're doing

I hope you changed the names you downloaded, when someone posts a scenario on this forum and it already exists, the name gets an extension

Can you post a screensot of the scenario files ? (folder/map/directory or whatever you call it)

- download TTDPatch alpha 33
- try default ttdpatch.cfg
- try delete ttdload[w].ovl and ttdpttxt.dat
- try empty (or remove the file) newgrf[w].cfg
