first of all, i have built a station next to eg. water supply station thingie.
after delivering water to some city nearby computer comes in and builds it's own station next to that water supply thingie. since that, afaik, most of that water comes in the comps station. im having this situation in every game i have

Cheapest way would probably be to crash a train into there train from the back of station... :) Then you won't have a problem. Also for now on just buy all the land on the outside of a four square perimeter. That way they can't build.

Simple. Next to the back of there station build a peice of track followed by a depot. build a train, tell it to go when they are loading, and hit the button to force it to go. Sit back and watch the fireworks. After trains clear away, AI will delete station and track.

i think it is a lame-ass solution.

Although it is quite hard to get rid of the computer using fair economic competion ( use multiple trains, buy a statue- > get a huge rating so u get all the goods)

An other solution is to buy exclusive rights for two years in a row, that usaly makes the computer tear its line down, due to losses

Hey, no need to fan the fire.
Whats cheaper/funner*i know its not a word*; transportation rights or blowing up his trains?

This accually sounds like a bug? If two stations are competing for the same water and have the same ratings shouldnt both stations get the same amount?

Sabotage is not a bug fix, just sabotage.

But its a solution thats fun.....

The station ratings probably aren't the same though, that is why they aren't getting the same amount. Also I expect it is rated upon your local town rating as well as the station rating. Then you have the problem of the stupid AI cheating.

That' s not available in OPENTTD :? Another reason why I still play TTD patched
I'm not saying anything anymore here because the games differ too much

What are you saying? 'Buy Exclusive Transport Rights' has been in TTDLX and thus has been a part of OpenTTD right from the start.
*Note: if you don't have enough money for a campaign like that, it will not show up. So that might be your problem. If you want to make sure you have that option, cheat. Press CTRL+ALT+C to bring up the cheat window, and give you lots of money. Now open the Town authority window and see that option appear.

I'm saying I don't like giving advice about something I don't know
I thought that option was available, but rane said he didn't find it, at least give a screenshot, rane !!!!!!!!
End of misunderstanding :!:

I've had the same problem in most games...could we adopt the solution from Railroad Tycoon II and have cargo stored at the generating location (i.e. the coal mine or paper mill) instead of the station itself? That way, the lion's share is hauled by whomever has provides the best transport.
